Givi monokey racks and touratech alloy panniers
« on: June 25, 2015, 23:26:03 »
Hi, I have my new bike with givi monokey pannier racks but also have a set of Touratech alloy panniers. I have looked on the net but can't find any givi plates to put on the alloy boxes..
Is there any way to marry the two together without butchery.

Thanks

Remove the givi fittings from the racks & mount the Touratech pucks  on the panniers to fit snugly in each corner of the Givi racks.
The Givi racks are 15mm tube whereas the TT racks are 18mm so packing on the frames or machining of the pucks may be required for a snug fit.

Alternatively, look out for Touratech racks :)

Thanks for the quick reply. Never thought about machining the pucks, but I would still have to butcher the racks by cutting off the monokey fittings.

Thanks

Won't the monokey fittings just unbolt from the frames?
They did on my Givi racks, albeit a few years ago now.
