Hi big pie
I've hooked up a couple of twin spot lights to the aux fuse box but I'm a bit miffed at having to run each one from a separate slot! I only have 1 slot left for my heated grips and I have a charging port to refit.
Would I be able to run both sets of lights into 1 fuse slot and up the size of the fuse?
the lights are 55 watts each!
Do you have any suggestions how to run the 2 into 1?

Positive from both lights to one red output negative from both to one black output. 110 watta at 12v is just under 10 amps. Each output is wired for 21amps but the total across the 3 outputs needs to remain under 30 amps.

Another thumbs up for Bigpie's Aux Fusebox!

Highly recomended and easy to fit, even for someone cack-handed like me.

Biggest problem was removing the plastics, as my connector had vanished into the innards of my bike.

Doubled up on Kirky's LED running lights, properly wired up my 12v external socket for sat-nav and finally got power to my rear Givi top-box light.

(Bigpie, I'm going to use my Optimate charge lead for heated gear, just waiting for payday. :violin: )

You could run couple of sets of Kirky lights from one output quite easily if you wanted. You can also chain another fusebox if you want more outputs in the future, they click together.

Glad the pins fit too, I've been thinking about taking on the speedo healer challenge next year. Intercept the hall effect sensor signal and modify it, I suspect I'll not get chance to investigate for quite some time.

Got the older V3 Speedhealer and still trying to set it up properly, as it works by a combinations of switches, with the pattern worked out by an on-line calculator. Think the newer version is a bit easier to set-up.

If you need to have a look at one then just let us know and can always pop round.

I am thinking with all the accessories one can plug in to the fuse box I.e., Heated jacket heated grips, GPS, front + rear running lights etc, etc, will the battery/charging system be able to cope?

You have a 400W output of which about 125W-150W are available for extra electrical accessories. Check the total wattage of your added items. A heat controller will reduce the draw of the heated gear when full heat is not needed. Unplugging or adding a switch to turn off one headlight will make another 55W available for heat when riding in daylight.

The Kirky running lights and GPS will draw very little, my heated vest is only about 18 watts according to Keis and grips about 30 watts so plenty of scope left for me, unless you are running powerful fog lights and heated gear I'd imagine you'd be the same too. As Greywolf says, you could disable one of the headlights in the day if you require more.

Hello Bigpie,

Just a quick query from an electrical numpty, what individual fuse rating would you suggest with your fusebox if running Kirky's LED's on one and a 12v socket for a SatNav on another?
