Good spot, thanks Pat! I added a link to those torque values, and 'stickied'.

Disable ScriptSafe/NoScript and other such extensions, worked for me after I did that.

The second link does like to be difficult, maybe because it is so large. I had to restart my browser once to get it to work. If you get a black screen or some other odd image except for a page error, you can right click and select save to save it to your computer. Then the saved local copy works. It can also work better if you use the first link and find the link to the wiring diagram on that page. If you really want it, it's possible.

It appears things have been moved there. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycles/Suzuki-v-strom-1000-abs/blog.htm seems to be the main page to get into more stuff.

Neither of those links work on my phone. Guess it won't be too hard to find from the main site if needed.

How very odd, I found the page here:

http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycles/Suzuki-v-strom-1000-abs/blog.htm

That is the same link previously posted! Let's see if it works when I post it.......

Update...no it doesn't but the web link I copied to paste here, actually works when pasted into a browser!

Further update... copying the link from here and pasting to a browser also doesn't work. Something is screwing with the link!!!

This is the menu page:  http://www.webbikeworld.com/menu/

Scroll down from here to 'Blogs'

I think I've sussed it......

The forum is changing the link. It's changing the 's' in Suzuki to a capital, for the link to work it must be lower case. If you click the links posted previously, just change the 'S' to 's' and it'll work.

God almighty - that really is ridiculous!  It's more of this 'Bloke Martin' rubbish, innit.  Yes, in my post above I realised the need for a lower-case 'S', which is what I posted - I just hadn't spotted the 'helpful' change made after I'd done so.  :angry-banghead:

It is no more ridiculous than your reference to a fictional character (and I don't mean Bloke Martin).

If people weren't generally illiterate then there would be no need for the sites many autocorrect interventions.

I guess it's because 'Suzuki' is a proper noun and must start with a capital S. The site auto corrects to ensure this happens.

I totally share your irritation at the illiteracy of the great unwashed, but surely it's infinitely more irritating to have an autocorrect facility that (a) changes correct text to incorrect text (b) does so without actively flagging the change to the user and (c) has no method of overriding it.  I mean, really, is it genuinely better to make 100% certain that brand names like 'Suzuki' always gets upper-cased whenever they appear, rather than having helpful URLs posted by members getting munged as above, much to everyone's confusion?

Anyway, it's your site not mine, so I'll shut up now before I get myself banned!

a) Some of the changes are intended to be humourous (or at least make me laugh)

b) This software doesn't have the option(s)

c) It would be genuinely better if people posted a simple 'X feature is causing Y problem' in the Site Feedback section so that we are aware and can consider changing it, rather than whinging like girls  :smirk:

You're right of course, but more people than we realise don't have a clue that they've punctuated or spelt badly so would be clueless in a proof reading situation.
If people don't have a lifelong habit of reading (and caring about accuracy) they miss picking up cues.
