I have given in to temptation
« on: August 11, 2014, 20:49:48 »
Please forgive me for I have sinned and given in to the temptation of free accessories, pre reg, low monthly payments and nice shiny red paintwork.

Yes after a mere three years and almost 34k I have discarded the black wee for the red Veek.

Ooh  my she's beautiful.

Are the rumours true, can you get a sandwich AND a drink in those panniers?

Well I've had the bike a few days now and after a few adjustments of the brake/clutch levers and the gear selector I must say I'm really really pleased with this bike.
I've done about 140 miles and she is so easy to ride. Still running in of course but looking forward to being able to open her up a bit, however on the normal commute I havent really felt the need to go over 4 1/2 -5k revs.
Anyone else feeling tempted yet?

I have run down an Autoban yes honest an Autoban at a steady indicated 120 mph rock steady and smooth. I think she was doing about 7,k rpm.

lovely that - good choice - looks great.

the panniers might not be the biggest but it'l just encourage you to pack lighter for your next tour.

after all the whinging we did about the launch of the DL1000 - (remember the "I'm out" thread!) its turned out to be a good useful and popular bike!

Indeed, and even at £7,999 it may not sell as well as Suzuki need it to.  Time will tell.

And, as for whinging, I think it was completely justified as the price drop shows.
