Fuel Filter DL1000 (K2)
« on: August 02, 2014, 18:24:43 »
I'm not at home so I can't check. Can someone tell me if there is anything special about the fuel filter on a K2 DL1000? Is it just an inline filter?  Is it 6mm or 8mm?

No Strom has an inline fuel filter in stock condition. All have a screen at the pump intake and a very expensive high pressure filter as part of the pump assembly. Going to an inline filter is a popular fix for a clogged filter.

Note specifically any work on the outside line has to be done with a high pressure hose, clamps and filter. Everything has to hold up against a constant 43psi. Stuff made for carbs or low pressure injectors won't cut it.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
