Bent handlebars
« on: July 25, 2014, 22:55:49 »
The curse of soft ground, caused my vstrom to fall over, no damage, I pulled it back on to its wheels, but while my back was turned it threw its self on the floor again, again heaved it up on its wheels, I picked the grass out the pannier, no damage, how I noticed on the next ride the left bars slightly further back towards the tank than the right hand side, I can't imagine they bent in the fall, I can only think it was me manhandling it to its wheels? Could it this be?
What could I replace it with? I'm happy with the bend and rise so like for like replacement?

Cheap option: get a bit of tube (scaffold, gas pipe etc) and bend it back

The fall is more likely the cause, use it as an excuse to get a nice set of Renthal bars :)
