You've got to much spare time Gassoon :)

I wish :)  trouble is I was watching them from about 11-30 pm into the wee hours! Had to kip in the 'huffy bed' a couple of times...

Their eye sight is usually fine, it's just that they are using it to text/tweet/Facebook/email/angry birds.   I've seen a kindle in use too at 50ish mph.

Just for fun, I came home from going to dinner in Wisconsin entirely on the adaptive cruise control. I set it for the speed limit in each area when it changed. It will follow any vehicle ahead with the two second gap I set it for if said vehicle went below the speed limit or go back to the setting if I moved to an open lane. In city traffic it even stops and holds position if the vehicle in front stops. If I stop, I just have to move the switch to Resume when the front is clear to get moving again. I can't see doing that again, but it was fun to see it work.

It's going to take a while to get used to all the bells and whistles on the navigation/infotainment/back up camera unit. It will probably take at least as long as getting used to the word "infotainment". I'm shocked the computer didn't mark that as a misspelled word.

I've been playing baseball now for 20 years, first for Bournemouth and then for Guildford. Following my unplanned dismount last year, I decided to retire. There's a tradition in American sports of taking a player's number out of circulation when a popular/good player retires so that nobody else will use it.

My team honoured me with this at the end of season do last year, and then they went and did this:

Jackie Robinson's 42 was the only number retired by all major league clubs. You're exactly twice his number.
That's quite an Honour to accompany hanging up the tools of ignorance. (Look it up. Not a bad thing) Not a bad way to go out though probably a bit premature for your liking.

Filled up with petrol for under £1 a litre. Much joy.

Get to the pay booth to find (not unusually) that the price for my tank is 1p higher than it says on the pump. This is something I always find to be annoying.

Hello Snow
I know diddly squat about baseball but I do know you don't get that sort of recognition lightly.

Well done indeed. :text-bravo:

Hello Snow
I know diddly squat about baseball...:

Think about the rockets you had as a kid. Imagine what the Yanks did to rockets. Now imagine they did the same to rounders while spending all day drinking beer.

Well done Snow  :thumb:

My youngest is turning out to be a demon footballer, and plays for a team in the age group above, more than holding his own. This season he's hit a run of scoring that puts a certain Mr Vardy to shame.

He's cool as a cucumber and celebrating his goals in a dignified low-key way. Unlike his Dad whose jumping with joy like a loon on the touchline! Proud dad.  :)
