Yes, getting better, free stuff too, expensive stuff. I can't help but think if they launched with that deal they wouldn't be able to keep up. Now apathy reigns.

That's looking like a very tempting deal. These might start selling like hot cakes soon, even I'm warming up to them.

Definitely getting better. Test rode one today too & engine, brakes, gearbox and suspension all seemed very good.

It's still £750 overpriced.

I took my Kwacker SX in for them to fit touring boxes and was loaned a DL1000 till Thursday morning.
Impression after a 100 mile ride today - Very nice bike.
My ageing legs need a bike to be low enough to get on and sufficiently well balanced to hold it up.
It fells much lighter than my old Vee and the front end is 'clonk' free and well planted.
With the 'low seat' fitted I found the riding position and bars comfortable. Being 6 feet tall and 16 stone I didn't expect much of the screen but it wasn't too bad. Set at mid point it allows wind blast but not too much buffeting.
With well spaced gears and faultless fueling, the engine was nicely responsive and all in all it's hard to find a lot wrong with it. (apart from the van mirrors). Despite the stock "Battlewing" tyres the bike felt stable at all speeds. If I didn't have the Glee and if the price comes down to something reasonable I might have to consider trading up.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

I would be careful with that advertiser only 50% feedback and does not have a proper photo of the bike.

 :)
Do it today as there may not be a tomorrow.

If I was very interested in it, I'd give the dealer a call and see if it is them, and if they would offer a further discount if paid for outside of paypal.

So I asked for a part ex price against a beakstrom. My bike a full luggage MG Breva V1100 but with 70K on the clock. This is the reply:-

Thanks for your enquiry yesterday.

I can’t find anyone in the trade to underwrite your bike I’m afraid; all I can suggest is trying to sell it privately.

Thanks for showing me the ad, unfortunately we can’t match that price on the DL1000, it would actually cost us money to sell it at that price.

Preston Superbikes shouldn’t be advertising any discounts on new Suzuki’s so I’ve informed Suzuki GB and the ad will be removed shortly.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me once you’ve sold the Breva, I’m sure we can work a deal out on the DL1000 for you.

Try somewhere like Wheels in Peterborough, or anywhere else that buys a lot of stock - they'll be wanting to shift it out....

I have recently been offered one for £9100 at SMC Sheffield. They are not advertising it at that and I'm guessing its not the lowest they would go.

So is this a second-hand bike as it's been registered:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151353924188? ... 1423.l2649

if it's been registered, does it have to be to an owner IYSWIM?

It will show owner as bike shop, but with 7 miles on it it has not been ridden. In order to reach their sales bonus they have to sell x amount of bikes so will buy some themselves. Others on here will know more.these. Prices have not made it south yet I am ready to buy when they do.

Not in a position to buy yet, but the price to change difference between the litre bike versus the Glee is getting much closer, which will make any decision that much easier.

It says it's a demo bike but it hasn't done a lot of demonstrating in 7 miles.
