Greenlanes Aberystwyth?
« on: May 04, 2014, 09:42:43 »
After managing to make the four hour ride a six and a half hour ride we're now in Aberystwyth for day 2 and fancy having a go.
Are there any around?

Enjoy.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Yea. Was a struggle to get it back up on the wheels. Needed a push on that start. My road smart tyres didn't grip well on the wet rock.

I filmed one go at it, so will upload to youtube now I'm back home in South Yorkshire, I forgot to turn the microphone on, so you'll miss out an my constant swearing.

I tried to stop it going down, but in the end settled for letting it fall more gently.

Looking forward to seeing the video. Riding trails is always a big risk when it comes to falling off. What trail was it ?

My internet connection is shocking, the whole area is full of houses built in the last couple of years, should have put fibre to each house.

So, after 5 hours uploading, here it is:

That looks tough, I wouldn't have taken a Vstrom down there, kudos.

This biking is getting expensive, I now want a track bike and a green lane bike.

Good on you for giving it a shot! For those that haven't done it the feeling of satisfaction is amazing, even if you are thinking 'what the hell was I thinking'! If you enjoyed it on the strom wait until you try a 250, you'll love it.

I'd love to have a go at that, but not on my Strom! I'd be scared of damaging it. A Honda XR400 would do me nicely!

I enjoyed that bigpie , I did a shot section of the Strata Florida trail a few years ago on my K5 Wee, but it was just to hard for the bike. What location was the start point of the trail ?

I've been knocking about with you too much, I was given 5 minutes head start to get my faffing over with to get going after each stop.

The start was easy to find, it was well marked, get to Strata Florida Abby and keep going until the road forks, the easy looking one you are not allowed to ride/drive up, the hard looking one has a post next to it stating that it is for vehicles.
