Stickers on Givi Airflow
« on: April 10, 2014, 17:07:15 »
Just fitted new Aprillia Tuono mirrors (from The Rocket Centre) and an Airflow screen (from nativeviking-Ebay) Excellent service from both! Haven't had a chance to try out the screen yet, but it looks inpressive. After my trouble removing a Suzuki warning sticker from the dashboard on my Glee can anyone tell me how to safely remove the coloured warning stickers from the lower screen please?

Easily come off, almost fell off mine. No heating or violence needed, just use a finger nail to lift a corner.

Leave it on, you never know when you might forget you need a helmet.

Givi ones make no mention of helmets  :confusion-confused:

Ahh, sorry, misread. I'm obviously not drunk enough.

You mean you've never staggered out to your bike, pissed and naked, and just before turning the key to go and fetch more beer you've seen the warning? Close call... Good job it's there, lifesaver.

Thanks all, I managed to remove the sticker without even breaking a fingernail - nevermind damaging the new screen! As a matter of interest the sticker warned against leaving the bike in the sun as the curved screen could act as a lens which could melt the bike! Perhaps Givi got the idea from the new "Cheesegrater" building in London whose windows reflected and concentrated the sun's rays damaging several cars parked nearby. We don't suffer from excessive sunshine in N Ireland, so it shouldn't be a problem!
