My insider tells me that Suzuki are so short of DL1000's that they have been told to not sell their last one but must keep it as a static demonstrator to show to prospective owners. Only drawback being they have no idea when they can get the dealer any to actually sell.
Looks like it's been selling well with little chance of the price being forced down.

Strange, I've just been in to the local dealer and I asked how it was selling.
Very disappointed was his response, none sold and only one test ride booking.

I haven't even been to see my dealer for a test ride, I have little interest in it.

They did have one and a now have a demo bike at Millenium in St Helens, if that's any help.

Glad I ordered mine when I did, then! I have a couple of little niggles with it, but which bike is perfect? Just passed 1000 miles, I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with mine! Can't wait to get on board the Pont Aven in a few months and wearing the tyres out doing a circuit of Spain.

PS still waiting for my panniers though, and the big top box is delayed, but have been promised a big roll bag in recompense. great!

I had a nose when picking up some new pads last week.
Dealers previously promised better finish on production models compared to what was on display at show. But all the cheap arse connections and iffy welds where all still there for the world to see.

Pick mine a week today that will be the fourth out of M&S motorcycles. He also has one in the showroom and a demo one. So that's six they have had so far.

Really? That is info, it shows that the previous statement from the dealer saying there's no interest isn't isolated. Perfectly valid as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not interested in buying the new 1000 either because I don't need a 1000cc bike. I might still get a test ride to see what it's like.

I'm surprised a dealer would say not much interest. Plenty of people climbing on and looking at the pair that were at the Edinburgh bike show earlier this month,

I'm just trying to float at the moment Juv, been diagnosed with high blood pressure and have an opportunity to get it down without medication. For the time being I'm done justifying myself to folk I don't know, I thought it was valid too at the time I posted.

I saw it at the Manchester motorbike show last week but wasn't that fussed by it. Liked the new Glee colour though, nice red - would have got that if it was out in 2012. Like the look of the Triumph Explorer which is likely to be my next bike.

I know of a chap who always buys red bikes, it's so his missus doesn't realise he's got a new one each time he trades.

I always find the silent treatment something of a bonus. I don't think she's sussed this yet. We've been together 23 years.
