Just a quick update, pre-spain service just done at 5000 miles, and the throttle body balance checked while all the fairings were off, and found to be spot on spec, so not adjusted.
So, just to summarise, my bike had all the rough running, rev drop issues from new. The throttle position sensor was adjusted on Suzukis advice to 29 degrees, this solved the rev drop, but then it idled at 1800, unless a gear was selected and the clutch pulled in, when the revs dropped down to a normal 1100 idle. The Traction Control was stuck at 2 as well. Not happy, so TPS adjusted back to more or less where it was to start with, with rev drop returning, although idle now OK an TC adjustable again.
Bike was then dynoed and remapped, found to be extraordinarily lean up to 4000 revs, and both power and torque levels very erratic. After the remap, the power and torque plots were smoothed right out, and both torque and power went up to match. Engine now FAR better, smoother, a complete contrast to how it had been.
However, engine response still a bit vague, so I checked throttle cable slack, and adjusted out as much as I dared at the adjuster. Another great improvement in controllability. Bike still occasionally coughs and farts, usually after sitting for a while in Bristol traffic, but overall the bike is now where I am happy with it. I might yet tweak The cable a bit more, maybe adjust the chain a bit, but otherwise I'm done fiddling and am happy.
Hope this helps!
