If still here, then it'll still be the baby Strom, kettle or a nice comfy wooden box!

the trouble with bikes is as I get older and bigger the bikes seem to be getting more compact on smaller so I would imagine I will still have something old.

I said likely another 650cc strom maybe the 1000.

Well I'm riding a Varadero 1000, but I couldn't find a decent Classic shape Strom for sensible money when the Wee died.

The Varadero will likely still be with me as a hack bike is now here for winter and commuting.
If I do change, a Strom is still top of the list.

The Pan is still an option, but the owners are holding onto them since they were discontinued.  :bawl:

No idea. It'll be under 700cc / 70 HP, light and either a naked road bike or semi-faired adventure style. It will be serviceable at home and might even be Chinese.

I won't be my current Wee.

If the recursion ever sees the light of day might be a fun addition.
If it has two wheels.. I'll ride it.

Just stumbled across this again. Some of them turned out to be true although it's only three years this time.

Pretty sure I will have a near 20 year old Strom and lots of pipe dreams on what I could have had :)
TRUE

Me too, although mine will be a 12 year Strom.

If still here, then it'll still be the baby Strom, kettle or a nice comfy wooden box!

The best laid plans.....

At the end of 2017 I bought a 2018 Multistrada. Sometime later I had a questionnaire asking for feed back on my new toy. I said the seat could do with reshaping, the pillion hand grips the same but otherwise it was a great bike. the only thing that would make it even better would be to fit the V4 engine from the Panigale.
Well, they listened to their customers and did just as I'd asked, I test drove the V4s fully intending to buy it.
Well, what a disappointment. It was soulless when compared to the V2 and it's a guzzler.
So I predict I'll still have the V2 Multi in 3 years time (and my son will still have my old Glee).

Things that will get me off my Vee within 5 years;

- A burning desire to do more serious off roading. (more likely to be second bike territory)
- Surprisingly poor residuals leading to bargain 2nd hand options on Pan America 1250 specials.
- Hopping off either the Vee, or this mortal coil, in dramatic fashion.

I'm likely to be on a 17 year old Glee...
If I buy a new bike it won't be a newer model Strom though given the feedback on the poor headlights and the loss of the V-twin.

Due to a left wrist and thumb that give me a few days of pain after a ride out I think my next bike will have to he the dreaded DCT!  I'll hold on to the strom as long as possible though.

My current tigger is about to have it's second birthday which is a long time for me to have a bike. I seriously can't see me having it in 5 years time, so probably a big comfy bus like a Goldwing DCT or and Energica electric, probably.
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'
