Thank you all   :ty:  and I tried sitting on the Glee in the showroom - I should be fine with the standard seat. But thank you all for your reassurances!

Absolutely right about the MPG. So important these days and although I do like the Tiger 800 being thirsty can be very expensive over say three or four years of ownership. The V Strom 650 in Wee or Glee form is a frugal beast - ridden with care my 2008 Wee can get 71 to 72 mpg  :)

My nearby Suzuki dealer has a brand new Adventure spec Glee for £6,800 which seems not bad, but it doesn't have heated grips so that would be an extra. Has everything else though and is in that nice blue colour too!

It's better not to have Suzuki heated grips, much better. Get HotGrips or Oxfords or wrap around types, not OEM.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s
