You need to create slack with the cable adjuster. If that is not enough, there are more adjusters at the throttle body ends on the cables.

I undone 2 screws under the throttle cable housing, took it apart and removed both throttle cables. I marked top and bottom cable and made a note how the cables fitted. One goes over the top of the bar, one under. It was a little difficult to re attatch the. At first after cleaning the elbows but a slacked off the cables using the adjuster and it was easier.

Take extra care when screwing up the throttle housing, as over tightening can thread the housing ruining it and it will contantly spin on the bars. One of my friends did that and had to buy a new housing off ebay second hand
I'm sane, honestly. . . I got a certificate to prove it!

I've undone 2 screws, separated top from the bottom of the housing. They wouldn't go apart completely as there is cable from the kill switch keeping them together. Did I have to take the top off and how? I could see only the bottom cable's end. To see the top cable's end, I had to twist the throttle but then the top cable would get tension and be impossible to do anything on it.
Slack adjusting is possible only on top cable, bottom cable doesn't have one on Glee. I'm completely lost with the way to disassemble throttle housing now. Pipes are polished but if I had to do the again I'd really need to know how to take the housing apart.
Thanks

The throttle tube comes out easily when the housing is separated. If I recall, I removed one cable, got the throttle tube out and removed the other

Well, no joy... One week past and here it is, covered with rust again. I made that little bracket, just for fun, of aluminium and polished it. I'll make new bracket now, again of aluminium, but with exact measures, and polish it. The pipes... well, that's obviously different story... Heat shrink tubing will be the way to go:
