polisport handguards (or alternatives)
« on: October 14, 2013, 07:50:48 »
I bought a new glee strom and so far so good. One more mod I need to make is to add some handguards in an attempt to keep the windblast off my hands.

I found the polisport ones online but the chap needs to know what the internal diameter of the handlebars are to determine whether its a 12,14,15 or 18mm fitting bolts I need. Any ideas what size I need?

Are these handguards any good? Are there any other ones I should consider?

Thanks
Ben

I think the 'glee' bars are the same as the 'wee' ones...ie, 7/8ths" / 22.225 mm, EXTERNAL diameter.

Some fit 'Barkbusters', try a search under 'Vstrom specific discussion' and under 'Clothing/accessories' topics, for example:

Most plastic handguards will keep the wind off your hands and the bigger the better . But if you want protection in drop/fall it will be hard to beat Barkbusters
