Tool Tube.
« on: July 22, 2013, 21:34:44 »
Just fiited some Givi PLX3101 pannier racks for my Kappa 33 litre boxes and would like to fit a Tool Tube to the inside of the left hand rack,as the racks are oval there doesn't seem to be a lot of fixing points and I am tempted to use cable ties ? Has anybody fitted a Tool Tube to a Givi rack ?

I've been considering this for a while, I've even priced up the tube (£14) but never got round to it.

Yeah it sounds like the same tube that I've bought off e bay  from Huntingdon, costs around £12 plus postage,it would nicely fill in the gap on the left hand side rack.

I used rubber protected p clips for 20mm. These went around the give racks easily, the rubber protected the bars from scratches etc and since they were steel stronger than cable ties
I'm sane, honestly. . . I got a certificate to prove it!

Just ordered one of these myself off Fleabay. Will try and find these rubberised 'P' clips once it arrives.
