OK, so.... Use your imagination, these are obviously 2D very unsexy mock ups, imaging gloss, shiny, lovely erm  :shy:

Anyway, two variations.

I'm happy with that :thumb: I usually don't like carbon effect, but I like it on a tank pad

The logo looks off centre to me

Juv, step forward, I need a volunteer  :)  The supplier is sending out some vinyl mock ups to make sure the fit is right for each model of V-Strom, I can obviously try the Glee one, can I send you the other to check?

How different are the tanks between years and between the DL650 & DL1000?

They are likely to be between £18 and £20. More to follow.

I used the old (Wee) tank pad on my Glee and it seems to fit nicely - it could be possible to get a one size fits all which might make it cheaper? I'll try and post a pic tomorrow to give you an idea of how it looks.

Yep, no problem, you can send me a mock up. I'm fairly sure the Wee and Vee tanks are identical in the area where you put a tank protector. The same Bagster tank cover fits both the Wee and the Vee.

Edit: Parts fiche also show the same part numbers for tanks for the Wee and Vee.

Thanks,

I have to say that IO think Suzuki have the shape right on the new one, it better protects the base of the tank.

OK, after much faffing about these are now in the V-Strom.co.uk Shop There will be a weeks delay while they are being produced but I need to get the minimum order quanitity in (so pull your fingers out).  :)

At the West Wales meet we played around with templates the supplier sent out, the general view was that the two piece Pad would look crap and in fact after a couple of amendments we managed to get a one size fits all (Wee, Vee, Glee)  :)

When you race to the V-Strom.co.uk Shop you will have to ignore the way the postage costs are calculated, this is a Paypal thing, all you need to know is that this work of art is going to cost less than twenty quid.

Sorry, at the moment it is a single design (which is effectively black).
