Suzuki Bash plate
« on: May 30, 2013, 22:43:50 »
Have received my bash plate (Nicked it off Locky's bike when he wasn't looking  :shy: )

but where the bracket mounts on the right hand side- there is no mount point, the bracket hovers over a recessed bolt that goes all the way through the engine.

question is:

Is that recessed bolt the mount point?

Does the OEM Suzuki bash plate come with a longer bolt like with the engine bars?

If yes to both these, I'm off to get me a new bolt.

2nd opinion - Yes! and Yes!

Is it the one that's right behind the brake lever? In which case it is the mount point, must be like the crashbars then...

I noticed you used the word "hover" in your original post. Old habits die hard don't they.

well as the old one is surplus to requirements and is in a state I couldn't with good conscious ask any money for it I was going to donate it to another strommer, like myself when I started out who is in need.
so we'd need to make sure they uphold the mowing duties. (bastards)

when I get round to taking a pic I'll post in in the for sale section. but fitted it looks like he pic on my fuelly page. its taken a bit more of a beating on st6 but still mostly in the same condition.

all I'd want is the postage, which shouldn't be much as it doesn't even weigh as much as a tin of beans.
