I'll shamelessly start

There was a thread on Sheds/Garages but I think we need to dig deeper into what goes on in your cave. This is mine and some of the sad things I do there

I don't have a garage but I can already foresee this thread making me green with envy. My bike sits on the drive under a cover, not ideal but it's that or no bike at all!

I wish I had a man cave , instead , I have a man back garden which consists of a fully paved are containing 5 motorbikes , 4 of which work , 4 bicycles and 2 sheds full of tools

I have a garden and a cobbled yard for a bike and cellar for tools (or junk ) boo hoo no cave !

Posted months ago about starting my 'mezzanine' man-cave ( 'New - Mezzanine Man-Cave' the perfume for men!...No?)

basically have a single garage attached to hoose. Now her indoors has appropriated 2/3rds of it as washing room/and there's a fridge and her cycles in there (oh, and an underused elliptical running machine as well).
The Strom ahas the botton third of the garage, BUT, because of the pitched roof, I've got a velux window up there and a platform which I've been transforming so its insulated, electric and I'm putting my new workbench up there this week, too.

1st photo: early days (ignore dates, they're wrong) looking up from the roller doors into roof...

Top of the ladders, work has started, getting insulated etc. With help from Jeff999 from the forum, after this got some boards on the ceiling...

Looking down at the paltry space left for the Bike...(my fault - but I'm working on a solution!)All a bit of a mess here...Back in the winter, I kicked a hammer over the edge onto the bike, hit on the top of the mirror, then away from the tank = no damage - how feckin lucky was that

A photo this week, upstairs lit, sealed, painted...need to box in some pipes...

I must admit I was thinking more 'Stingray' , sliding down the ladders (which I will be rigging to be retractable, btw, cutting me off from the world of women, like a sailor in the offing, where I can see and hear what's happening on the land, but they can't reach me)

Just don't know whether, when its finished , to get more tools I'll probably never use - or a mini-fridge

I was just wondering how you would get up there and how you would get heavy things up there. A block and tackle might be a good idea.
