I've fixed it at last

Moved standard screen out 30mm on nuts for now as I have tried all maner of combinations this is on both top and bottom the with screen on highest setting and up to 110mph I could still focus very happy and cheap just need to make nice looking spacers

This is with aprillia mirrors

I will take pick in daylight tomorrow and try to work out how to put it on here any one got any ideas on what to make spacers from was thinking black plastic piping?

actually, using nuts is a really good idea - you could use longer bolts/screws, and you then get a small range of adjustment by moving the nuts back and forward :)

I used some 15mm copper piping cut down to 10mm spacers. They were fixed on the bottom bolts to alter the angle of the screen a few degrees.
worked a treat. no buffeting at all and saved a fortune on a aftermarket screen or bracket.

Hi Tatt2ed  Some questions for you...

Do you think the Aprilla mirrors helped?

Does it still help when it's windy?
On a still, cool morning I get very little buffetting.  Add in some cross-wind and it's a different story.

And how tall are you?

Great post BTW - a good DIY fix is part and parcel of the adventure biking story.
