Come on Blackops lighten up ....  "Glee" is just nomenclature for the model on this forum.
You can call yours anything you like ....
Back in the day I had a BSA Bantam
I don't recall any comments about a little  .....

Heh! I just tried this test on myself: imagine telling a mate who had no knowledge of this forum, or DL650's for that matter, that you're riding a 'Glee' at the minute.................. :shy: ..............Must admit, I couldn't do it , but I wouldn't be bothered saying it's a 'wee'....figure that one out :)

I wouldn't do either. Wee, Vee and Glee are inside terms, not public ones.  How many non Trumpet riders know what a Steamer is, or even a Trumpet for that matter.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

I don't mean to go on about it, but what I mean is that somehow the epithet 'Wee' is more acceptable to me than 'Glee'! I might take some perverse pleasure from puzzling another motorcyclist (not a stromrider) by calling my bike a 'Wee', but I wouldn't try that on by saying 'it's a glee'...maybe that's the sort of thing blackops means...
Anyway, as has been said quite rightly, just call it what you like!

I call it glee here so everyone knows what I'm on about, but call it a V-Strom or DL in the real world or the 650to distinguish between my two bikes.

If I ever have problems with the bike it can end up being called all sorts  ###

Veek! It's Vee+beak, sounds very much like beak, keeps the double E of the line and contains an EEK! which is what most people say the first time they see it.

lol Remembering the shenanigans we had with 'naming' the glee, lets just stick with 'The Veek' (sounds a bit comedy-german-accent though...Ze Veek shall not be tolerated to survive!)
