The distance between your Arse and Balls?
« on: March 31, 2013, 17:02:52 »
The balls of your feet that is

When I sit on the Glee I feel like I am scrunched up, it feels like the distance between the Pegs and the Seat is less than my last Wee and definitely the Tiger, this is odd given the apparently higher seat on the Glee?

Am I imagining it?

I have been looking at the lower Peg kits from MandP and SW Motech but they seem expensive for a small amount of benefit

Has anyone experienced/overcome this? I am 6ft 2" but only have a 31" inside leg.  :shy:

http://cycle-ergo.com/ shows my 32" inseam legs have an 84 degree angle on a Wee and an 82 degree angle on a Glee so the new bike is a little tighter. http://www.adventuretech.biz/footpeg-an ... g-kit.html does a fine job of adding more space and is not terribly expensive.

Can highly recommend the lowering kit that GW linked to... was out on a run today and can't begin to say how much more I'm enjoying the bike since I lowered the pegs. Obviously the comfort is better, but I also find my control over the bike is improved because I can shift my weight on the pegs more easily and the rear brake control feels more natural. With the pegs lowered and the bars raised (20mm), the bike feel like it's made to measure for me now, vast improvement!

If you can sit on the bike and put both feet more or less flat down I would recommend lowering the pegs. They do make the bike feel easier and more comfortable to ride.

Thanks, I had seen these but was trying to avoid having to ship in from overseas.  :thumb:

Edit: The link appears to be disabled for the 2012 and newer model?

Link works for me... I don't think there is a separate Wee and Glee version. As I remember, the kit fits all years (bet GW will know for sure though).

Delivery from the US cost me $27 (about 17 squids). They dispatched quickly and it arrived within a couple of weeks.

I took the peg lowering kit off my Wee and put it on my Glee. It's a perfect fit. The only issue some people have is the wire to the rear brake switch. Sometimes, a cable tie up in the frame has to be clipped to allow enough slack.

I really need to do this as I'm getting 71 Degrees on the ergo website. May have to be my next expenditure.

That would mean a 36" inseam. You have plenty of leg length. Think about a taller saddle too.

Good Point Greywolf, I have the +40mm seat, so plugging that in, I am up to 76 Degrees.
