probably this is the next thing I ll be up to..
the main drawback is that I don't have an ios device in order to check the application's functinallity 100% but I d like to hope that I won't meet any great difficulties.. :)

... should be getting an update soon...

Many thanks, Nikolas. This app is going to be very useful and being able to deal with 'mpg' is a great improvement.

This looks really good, hope I never have to use the section for fault finding.

I  contacted the developer prior to the "miles/litres" option, the reply was polite and quick... Most impressed!

This looks like a great little app! I especially like the fact that you have the fault codes right there on the main screen , very handy! If you have a website , you should stick a donate button there. If you don't , you could add something like a google maps integration which I am sure will be very much appreciated! Since you are using GPS features already , you could use the GPS to determine your location then show you on google maps where the nearest service station and petrol stations are. People will certainly pay for that!

Very nice app with a lot of potential!

Hi,
Great app :)
Not sure if this has been mentioned but here is a suggestion which I hope is helpful.

Would it be possible to separate the KM/Litre Miles/Gallon?
In the UK, we tend to enter litres at the petrol station but our bikes odometers are in miles. So at a fill up, it would be good to enter the litres used against the miles covered for the trip. It seems that the mileage needs to be converted to KMs at the moment unless I am mistaken.

so, don't you use mpg as a measurement unit?

you use miler per litre? or litres/60miles 100miles?

the mpg feature was added just because in many countries they uses miles as measurement unit and I thought that happened with gallons as well instead of litres..

one common unit is litres/100km and over some uk forums (mg-rover related) I had seen that they used mpg

Hi,

I have another app where I enter the following when I refuel:

Quantity in Litres
Price in Pence
Distance in miles
it then calculates the MPG (in miles) and the refuel cost.

The point is that the UK petrol stations dispense fuel in litres. However, UK vehicles record distance in miles. So, and this might just be because I am an old fart, people usually calculate their fuel consumption and efficiency in miles per gallon

Example:
Qty: 16.14 Litres
Price: 179.1 Pence per Litre
Trip Distance: 179.1 MILES
Refuel cost (calculated by app and spot on) £22.23
Calculated MPG: 50.45MPG

Hope this helps :)

aha, I see, to probably the app makes the conversion from litres to gallons and gives back the mpg figure..

it could be done :)
I ll add to the todo list for the next release :)

I just want to say, I've (thankfully) only had to use the app twice but it's always got just the right information.

Great work!

Not sure how possible it is as this is way above my techno knowledge but could you in some way incorporate the location permissions in some way to allow a secondary user EG: Wife, partner etc. to find out where you are if you enable/allow it. I'm thinking from a safety point of view as such you don't turn up somewhere around the time you said you would no one has heard off you etc.
Also could it in someway be used to track your routes and give avg speed etc. much like endomondo does for me when I am out walking or on the push bike.

Good god I use the bike to get away from the other half, I don't want her knowing exactly where I am & my 'short' rides usually mean I'll be back when you see me  :neen:

I do see what you're saying from a safety point of view though
