The part numbers are 43585-27G10 for the right and 43595-27G00 for the left. Once you find them, glue them in with a little silicone seal on the round part. When it sets, it will stick to the frame but will release from the rubber. The grooves in the rubber will keep it from coming out accidentally but allow it to be removed and replaced when accessing the swingarm pivot bolt.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

Good advice. I lost mine in both sides and now I won't bother to replace them. The frame has already been so scratched it'll need paint anyway. Or perhaps I'll go for the sticker solution before I eventually sell the bike on in years.

Get the cymarc stainless frame protectors they stop scratching to the frame and secure the rubber ones from coming out.

I lost my LH swing-arm pivot cover the other day, although I'm fairly sure it was nicked but obviously can't prove it.

I've ordered a replacement for £14.00 but I also found some plastic caps on ebay which I thought I would try as they only cost £1.73 including postage. They are of good quality and look okay too. The size I ordered was 45 mm, which makes a nice fit over the 41 mm hole.

If you're not bothered about having a genuine part, these make a good alternative, especially for the price, and will protect the swing-arm shaft assembly from the elements.

I replace both of mine and added a bead of bathroom sealant to the new ones before fitting, seemed to have worked because they're still there!  :thumb:

My left one has gone. The roads must be littered with the wretched things. I'll have to keep my eyes open. It's a bit poor that they drop off so easily.

I tried the silicone mastic, and it still fell out. I now use black insulating tape on the upper and rear edges to try and stop my boots / trousers catching it and pulling the expensive bit of rubber out.

Mine never had them and I'm not bothered, they'll just get in the way when I want to put some ACF-50 there.

They fall through a crack in the space time continuum and gather at the mountain of lost biros by the ocean of lost keys.
