I'm considering putting these on handguards instead of the bullets...

Any comments? Anyone seen them in the flesh?

Here's an old post that shows LEDs in the handguards, they do look good!
look toward the bottom of the post.

I fitted a touring scottoiler kit, which ment I couldn't use the standard number plate light. so I fitted an R&G LED plate light.

that should say probably say I was miss sold the touring kit. before I brought it I asked if it fit the strom and the shop said yes. I didn't go back to that shop again.

+1 for daylight picture so we can see position.

Were the sidelights a palava? Did u need to take off lots of plastic to get at them?

here is the bullet on the side of the handguard. held on with tape during installation. (need to get alcohol wipe to clean the service to get it to stick good and proper)

very limited space to put it on handguard really. was going to put in on the underside of the handguard but not enough of the handguard to stick it too. so had to stick them on the side in the end. the cable will run along the inside of the guard and gets tied in with the bikes wiring loom then. neat enough act.

this is where I put the pos-tap. (rough looking as I just connected it up to test all the soldering held up and worked OK  :) )  the left hand panel came off and its there in front of you. I was able to change both sidelights with taking the one panel off (just turned the steering round too full lock each way to give myself more arm room to change the bulbs). not hard, just fidly and time consuming.

White/black is brake light hot. Tail/licence light hot is grey under the mudguard or brown in front of the mudguard connector. Ignore any coloured dots. They are not part of the colour code.

Black with a white stripe, like the big cheese said. In case it wasn't clear, the brake light hot is white with a black stripe.

Ah I see. I need to learn to read apologies.

I plan to drill a while on the underside of the rear indicators and mount them there.  only place I can think of. However would be interested to hear what anyone else thinks... any links showing to strip back end to do this or is it self explanatory?

I ran extra wires through the rubber stopper on the turn signals by adding an additional hole with a sharpened nail, awl or ice pick. Then I tinned the wire end with solder, clipped the end at an angle with wire cutters to make a point and worked the point through the new hole.

Rite. got the rear bike bullets and modulator installed there today. Well happy with the installation, really neat and tidy job. bit time consuming however I took my time and got there.

Big thanks to greywolf who kept me right on the correct wires to tap into.  :thumb:

Got a pair of these for Xmas and I am looking at fitting them.
However while looking at the regulations to answer another question on here I found that they may actually be against the UK regulations unless you disconnect the original position lights in the headlamps.
The bit that seems to apply is
PART IIRequirements relating to optional front position lamps1.  In the case of a solo motor bicycle first used on or after 1st April 1991 which is not fitted with any obligatory front position lamp, not more than two may be fitted which must comply with the requirement specified in paragraph 7 of Part I. Where two are fitted these shall be situated as close together as possible.
2.  In the case of a solo motor bicycle first used on or after 1st April 1991 which is fitted with one obligatory front position lamp, not more than one additional lamp may be fitted which must comply with the requirement specified in paragraph 7 of Part I and shall be situated as close as possible to the obligatory front position lamp.
3.  In the case of any other vehicle the only requirement prescribed by these Regulations in respect of any which are fitted is that in paragraph 7 of Part I.

Still going to fit mine though
