Gutted - Update
« on: September 08, 2012, 16:38:54 »
I have now had the Glee for a week, decided on getting it on a 62 plate, and really pleased with it, as is the wife as it now means we can go out together a bit more.

Having a full bike Ventureshield kit fitted on Monday having had one on the previous bike and it did keep it looking good.

One question thought, is there an alternative to the standard mirrors, with or without extendors, as most of the view is taken up with my arm/shoulder.

Is your name Clive? I am really impressed with my mirrors and I am not a midget, although I wonder if mine seem good because I came from sports bikes.
Do it today as there may not be a tomorrow.

Many of us use Aprilia Tuono mirrors, they look better, are more streamline and give a surprisingly good field of view. You should be able to pick them up new for less than £30.

Already ordered the Aprilia mirrors for mine before my Wee2 has even arrived based on the fact that this board appears to be the Aprilia mirror fan club!  :)  This many people can't be wrong!

I got them through here:

It's both the RH mirror and LH mirror at the bottom of the list (parts AP8104921 & AP8104922).

I have a set of Aprilia mirrors fitted to my Aprilia, makes a great combination :)  I have the extenders fitted to the original mirrors on my wee and find them OK.  I am disappointed with them in one way though, the silver backing is starting to go grey in places after 14 months, the mirrors on the Aprilia are stilt good after 2½ years.

Hmmm, I had a nice view, mostly of my shoulders until I got the extenders. I am a bit "wide load" though...

fitted Aprilia mirrors to my glee last week and think they are great. Better view, no vibration issues, look much better than standard and simple to fit (make sure you order 10mm thread) Got mine from e bay  new for £30 the pair posted. Super!
