What is it with motorcyclists that insist on riding everywhere with the full beam on!!  Annoys the hell out of me! Feel like chasing them down and asking for a reasonable explanation for such blatant disregard for other road users, only issue is I can't see as their lights have burned a hole in my retinas!

I just love drivers that move over to try and stop you filtering, and then when you get past anyway flash their lights. Tossers.
Now on a Super Tenere having put 64k miles on a 2011 DL650

I also love this, but chukle a bit as well, they also normally swerve aggressively away from you as you go past as if to emphasise the fact you are clearly insane for filtering!

Just back from three and a half Stromless weeks in France, got on the bike and out onto one of my favourite roads.  What do I find ? In my absence the council have slapped a 50mph limit on it.  Not content with that, they then further annoy me by ending it about 150yds before a roundabout where it goes back to the NSL I.e. 60mph. Where is the sense in that ? And there are more bloody signs than you can shake a big stick at.  Big signs, little repeater signs must have got a job lot of them. Can't even see why it needed lowering to 50mph anyway.   Sod 'em I'll just ignore it like all the other ones.

I don't ignore 50 limits, I drop down to 70 when I enter them, they're there for a reason ;)

A sign of things to come? There's long been talk of all rural roads having a 50mph limit which will only leave single lane major routes with a 60 and dual carriageways and motorways with 70 limits. The anti speed lobby seem to be able convince our masters that reducing speed is the only way to reduce road casualties. We can then look forward to ECU and radio controlled speed in vehicles to make us keep to these speeds and devices fitted to monitor our other driving habits. Some insurance companies are already fitting these. The trouble with Big Brother is that he creeps up on us in little steps here and there and we don't really notice until it's too late. Best we all buy 125s...

Not sure whether this rant should be here or in the "This curious language thread"

Just been listening to the Jeremy Vine programme whilst walking the dogs, well it was Vanessa Feldtz not
Jeremy Vine and that was enough to put me in a bad mood.  The CEO or similar of Costa Coffe came on and was talking about something being very unique and then very very unique.

It's either unique or it isn't. What's difficult about that?

I think the days of mad max are fast aproaching. when folks are just pushed too far by councils and goverment and start to ignore stupid rules and laws [ like all this dropping of speed limits on rural roads ] I for one "will not " drop my speed down and will just risk getting a fine . we will soon be going that slow we won't be leaning the bike over at all in bends ..my number plate will just get muckier & muckier ... :lala:

Filled the car up with diesel the other day, when I went in to pay the woman asked me If I would like this bar of chocolate for "only" £1, they have often ask this for various items in the past, I don't know why but I asked "how much is it normaly" and she said "£1.01". I know she has been told to ask this question but what load of cheating Tw@ts :angry-tappingfoot:

My lovely wife has now decided not to go away next week. So I will not be having a week with fridge stocked with beer, watching anything motorised on the TV and riding my bike when I feel like it ###
