I just read the whole thread and this is hilarious! lol I have many little things that annoy the hell out of me and the good lady insists that I'm getting worse with every passing month. I used to be a patient person, not bothered by any of these things, but as time passes even I have to admit that I'm getting worse. Some days I wonder how it is possible that I haven't killed anyone yet, I never come to a conclusive answer, but I enjoy the thought that it hasn't happened yet  Personally, I don't think it has anything to do with age, I reckon it has to do with how happy you are with your life. With things as they are now (the economy crashing, the cost of living skyrocketing, everything being about money, too many stupid laws and too many people without common sense (and they are allowed to have kids!) politicians as they are... should I carry on?) a lot of people aren't enjoying life as much as before. This is when the little things start grinding at you to the point where you want to buy some land in a sunny country and make your own living with only an internet connection to the rest of the world. In fact, I would love to buy an island in the tropics...

Today..it's the NHS, or rather one dept in the NHS.

I was admitted to hospital last month, I was admitted by a general consultant onto a neurology ward..anyway, long story short, my MRI scan report landed on the consultants desk, did they pass it to neurology..no they ignored it because they don't do brain stuff ###  ###  ###  ###  ###
Three weeks it has taken for me to be told there is nothing visibly wrong  in the brain stem, go see another discipline

It pees me off to see a thread's been updated and when I scroll all the way down the page to the new message I find it is pointless and trivial. Like the last message  :neen:

Been too brassed off to post. Chain broken, sprockets need replacing, dealing with ebay, things not listed where they should be, valve clearances need checking, oil and filter needs changing, as does air filter, and plugs, Mother in law's dog put to sleep, grave had to be dug in the garden, more time wasters coming to view our house in two days, wine stocks in the cellar low, can't get over to France to restock.

I could go on and on and on but I can't be bothered. Perhaps I 'll just find a quiet corner and open a vein.

being cold called by a helpful Indian chap...

Me: Hello?
Caller:  I'm calling from your ISP, have you noticed your computer is running slow?
Me: You're calling from Bt?
Caller: Yes, BT, your ISP.  Have you found your computer is running slower?
Me:  Yes, I have, actually
Caller:  I can help with that.
Me:  Great!
Caller:  Are you infront of the computer now?
Me:  It's surjically attached to my fingers, it comes to the toil..  erm, yes.  I am at the computer
Caller: This is great.  We can  get right to the problem.  Click on 'my computer'
Me:  hmm, I don't have a 'my computer'  but I do have a 'systems preferences'
Caller:  now click on Event viewer
Me:  damn,  hang on a sec, the event viewers not here.  Hmm, give me a sec, where is it, >_<  Oh yes.. let me get it up, I think it's in the console
Caller:  You are on a windows computer are you not?
Me:  Well you rang ME to tell ME that MY computer was running slow, so, I don't know why you're asking ME if My Mac is a PC, because, of course, it's not. it's a MAC.  but it is running slow.
Caller: - silence-

Now this REALLY pisses me OFF.  IF they're going to scam me, why can't they scam me on a MAC?  Why do I HAVE to have a PC to be subjected to a SCAM?  it's just not cricket

Please hold your call is important to us
- 1 min -
Please continue to hold, we apologise for the delay, all our operators are very busy with other callers, but do hang on, you call really is important
- 1 min -
(2 min running total)
Please continue to hold
- 1 min -
(3min)
please continue to hold
...on hold music.. it's just starting to get good, when the playback is interrupted to put me through to a ringing phone... the phone rings and rings.. then
There is no one to take you call at this time, please call back
- hangs up -

Now, which part of the above is supposed to be a genuine interpretation of "your call is important to us"  was it the bit when they just hang up with out even giving me the opportunity to leave a message or get a call back?

I refer you to Jevercu's post.  It is not that I have paid twice as much for a a thing of beauty, that is definitely not 2 x as good.

It is that I feel good.  Beauty may be fleeting, but it is still awesomely attractive.  I wasn't scammed, I fell in love.
