GPR Tri-oval on a Wee
« on: April 12, 2012, 23:01:40 »
Hi
Loads on this site and the web about the GPR exhausts, everyone thinks there great. Just bought a Tri-oval myself for my 2010 twin spark Wee and was wondering how many of you had fitted a GPR and had to deal with fuel issues afterwards.

If anything it should be an improvement because the exhaust is less restrictive to the standard one. I have a Scorpion and the engine definitely revs up easier with that on than it does with a standard exhaust. I've never really heard of anyone with a 650 having fueling issues after fitting an aftermarket can. If you did I wouldn't blame it on the can either, there'll be some other underlying issue.

Hi you

Surgery complete. Excellent, couldn't be more pleased.

The bike is running more freely and I do think it is smoother. The sound, well absolutely brilliant. Nice deep thump to the bike and not too much noise. Well pleased. The O2 sensor now fits in the same place as the original so no moving wires. Also has a support for the centre stand as per the original too.

Looks good too, well I think it does!!    :thumb:

Hi you

As requested a photo from the back.

There is little or no heat from the silencer so no problems with the boxes.

Hi

Reference the price.

£259 including postage direct from GPR on fleebay. Contained all the manifolds, cilps, nuts, bolts type approval certificates etc etc etc. Delivered direct by DHL. Not too bad for a full stainless steel system. Everything fitted perfectly too.

Maybe it's just the angle, but it looks like it sits quite far out? Well at least compared to mine, pic below for comparison:

Hi

Just the angle I took the photo at, its sort of halfway between the bike and the givi frame.
I did move it slightly further out in order to match up with the tool tube on the other side and also to enable me to get in behind it to wash the bike down and keep the shiny stainless clean. I thought the symmetry was better looking with the boxes too.

Hi
I was asked about the difference, if any, to the mpg.

Just completed a 4 day 1000 mile jaunt around the west coast of Ireland. 60 mpg average throughout. That is up hill, down dale, hard riding, motorways, side roads etc etc.. No real difference that I can see, just a bigger smile on my face with the sound.

definately no cutting required, you get all but the downpipes from the engine bolck.Hardest bit I found was taking the old one off, once I'd done that it was gravy.

Hi

No cutting rerquired what so ever. Fitted perfectly using the 2 standard headers. I would agree that getting the original off was the biggest part of it.

100% satisfaction from me.
