New wee value!
« on: April 08, 2012, 16:37:56 »
I have been told by more than one stealer that the book value for a 2011new shape wee is £3600 that is £200  less than I got for my 2009 wee with 9k miles 8 months ago!
It has done 2k miles that's more than a £1 a mile depreciation.

The new wee can't be very popular it looks like people are buying late old models. The new wee was launched at £7000 you can now buy them for £5500 new. that's why the second hand value is so bad

I don't see a problem. I bought mine to ride, not to sell on. I've never looked at any of my bikes as a sell on value. Bikes and cars and lots of other thing depreciate in value. It's a fact of life.

New cars and bikes are never going to be an investment. I bought a demo 2012 wee to use and enjoy it cost me  £5500 with all the bits on and I absolutely love it.Its probably one of the nicest bikes I've ever ridden and take it from me I've had a few in my time, 47 as a matter of fact !

I wonder if things would be different if they had released an 800+cc wee instead of the same 650 capacity?

There is nothing wrong with the bike its great I just fancied trading up to something bigger. Ill just have to keep it for a couple of years I don't think it will loose much more and hopefully XTZ1200 and versys 1000 will have similar depreciation. I just wish Suzuki had sold it at its true value £5500 in the first place and saved me and a few others this massive depreciation

and it's up for £4200  :angry-tappingfoot:

Still I got a great discount on the Versys 1000, have some bits to sell off the Wee as well and it was £750 more than Triumph were offering, and I bought it for £5k so in 12000 miles I lost £1750
