Warranty won't replace your smashed chain guard or replace your tyre because of the flat spot after the rear wheel locked up at 80 mph. Yes, I'm dramatic, but I didn't go as far as suggesting a horrific crash and bodily harm (or did I just do that anyway?) I'm just giving you food for thought :) If you haven't used it you can still flog it on eBay and get a DID chain

To be fair, any chain is capable of causing that amount of damage, all it takes in a bad link or one that has not been looked after. I'm sure there are just as many people out there that would back up Renthal, but more to the point, if they were dangerous, they wouldn't be sold. I'm happy with what I got, if I wanted to spend more, I've no doubt I could get better. This will do fine for now.

Well I went to change my sprockets earlier but have been stumped at the first hurdle. I removed the clutch slave cylinder, speed sensor, and front sprocket cover, but when it was time to remove the front sprocket nut, it just wouldn't budge, I had my son hold the front and rear brake, bike still on the ground (side stand) but it wasn't having any of it. Only option is to use a windy gun tomorrow at my mates garage.

Anyone know the tightening torque for the clutch slave cylinder? I can't find it in the workshop manual (unless I'm overlooking it)

Forget the windy gun. Just put a bar through the rear wheel. This locks it up as solid as you need.
Whoooosh!!!!!! `What was that?` That was your life passing by. `Can I have another go as I havent done anything yet?`........ Sorry, only one go for everyone.
