What happened with that private sale old wee near to you, oldie? Gone? Sounded good, that did.

The new wees don't seem to have the turbulence issues, and if you got the lower seat, bung the original on ebay, it'll reduce the cost of new seat considerably (so to speak). Change the dogbones - presto!

Or modify an older wee in similar vein...you have the knowledge now, not like your starting from the beginning with the wees! You could evenhave a go at reducing the seat height yourself (as others have done Locksmith?Willbo?), put in a heater element and gel! The world is indeed your (pink) lobster then...

Spot on Gassoon. I lowered my last Wee (although, in retrospect, I really didn't have to) and I guess that the dogbones/forks solution would be fine for the Wee2, and inexpensive. We'll see.............

Well, I happened to be passing a Honda showroom so popped in and liked the look of the NC700X so traded in my KTM 125. It's not really the bike that I was looking for but we'll give it a go. I've read all about the downsides but I like the look of the thing (same as in pic) and it's got two wheels  :)

It will probably turn out to be a fun bike and it didn't cost a lot to change (KTM's seem to be popular) and the salesman did say that it was a Strom-killer  :liar:

What am I like?

Standard gears mate. I'm looking forward to it but still keen on something to take down the lanes (probably a Strom) but that means selling one of my other bikes and I can't really see me parting with any of them willingly

Another great plan bites the dust!

After saying that I would get the bike later this week, it's now going to be a "month" according to the dealer. I'll have bought and sold half a dozen bikes by then, so not prepared to wait.

Better get the list out again.........

ps. had a test ride and it was fun.

I think its that problem of seeking the elusive in life...perfection!

But as any fan of asian cinema knows, this is impossible. Only when you stop seeking after it, it may come to you (grasshopper!) :eusa-think:

Not confused anymore  :)

Went for another run on the Versys, but asked for some tools to adjust the screen first - result was incredible  :)  I like this bike a lot!

Asked them to put on a new clutch cable (seems to be a Versys problem - gets sticky) and colour coded panels for the panniers (the black ones are scratched, so I now have a choice) and gave them the KTM. Cost to change was £1900 so I don't know who won (they did, of course) but I'm totally satisfied (for a while :neen: )

I like that better than the Honda thing you nearly got , looks nice . They must have known you were going to turn up and buy it and supplied the Vaping sign  lol  . Is it a optional extra from Kawasaki  lol

I so very nearly bought the Versys (or V as they call it on their forum). Bluesun9 will have company now!

Enjoy it!  :auto-dirtbike:  :thumb:

Think you made a good call there with taking it for another ride and not letting a screen put you off an otherwise good bike  :thumb:  Love that particular colour

 lol  @ the vaping sign!
