Had a trip to Zgornja Sorica as part of a week long tour of Slovenia. A bit chilly at altitude at this time of year but stunning in it's beauty. :lala:

First time since late Spring and only the second time this year.

Life gets in the way sometimes.

Done some work on the exhaust. 17 year old header. Won't be any better than that. Used Harpic + sand paper + autosol.

How were your fingertips after Harpic and Autosol? Black  and no fingerprints left? I use a thick paracord and Autosol wrapped round the pipe for tight areas.

Fingertips? I used super strong rubber gloves for harpic, and leather gloves for autosol :) No damage to hands done :P

I picked up a 2x2 cycle carrier (https://www.2x2cycles.com/product/moto-bicycle-rack/) today for taking the mountain bike on the back of the Strom...  (cheap from ebay)

Need to set some time apart to fit it and may need to find a welder to make a 'Givi top box adapter' as it's going to be a pain removing the rack to fit this each time.

Got back from a do in Newcastle earlier (and less hanging) than expected, no shopping in so we nipped down to Matlock for chips and then home via some Twisties.
Feeling a bit chillier out into the evenings, spannering season beckons and the service list groweth ever longer.

Sunday spent the day with Staffordshire Police Bike Unit. Did a BikeSafe course with them on a one-to-one basis. Morning was in the classroom then 4 hours riding and putting into practice what I had learnt from the classroom. Most enjoyable day and riding with a police bike behind me, makes other riders and drivers behave themselves.
Highly recommended for the price if you can get on a course. :lala:

Fitted grip puppies, otherwise known as ba....d puppies. They just slip on apparently  ###.
In the end I used the zip tie method and soapy water, which worked OK.

I was recently bought some Grip Puppies by the daughter. She had asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I randomly replied "Grip Puppies" for no particular reason. Anyway, have you had chance to use them and are they any good?

Cheers,

Dicky.

I have a pair of grip puppies over some Oxford heated grips. They do work, minor vibrations are smoothed out and they do a great job of distributing heat also. As they increase the grip diameter they do take a little getting used too, but mine have been on for over two years and still look new (after 15k).  :)
