Turned the parking lights off!
Yesterday I must have turned the key too far when returning from a ride in blazing sun, luckily I noticed today.
It is on an optimate so presumably that would have kept it charged.

🤨
I've been asked why I have 3 bikes, well that's because I'm not allowed any more.

Yes, I've done that, too- fortunately I've always noticed within an hour or two so no "battery" problems. It's a bit too easily done: maybe Mr Suzuki should have included a dashboard warning light or something!

I don't have that problem because for some reason I can't even turn my parking lights on!

When you put the steering lock on, you then need to press the key down and turn it further to the P position.

I've tried that method (many times) but it won't have it. Not a deal breaker but ones of those things!

Does the parking light circuit have it's own fuse?

Is it that the key won't turn past lock to p, or that when it does there's no lights?

Over the weekend got the forks seals and oil changed, first time stripping the front end of a bike for me so well chuffed that it went smoothly - BlackLabAdventure's guide was a lifesaver. Also checked the front sprocket, cleaned all the crap out from the chain guide and tidied up a few patches of corrosion.

After a relatively short winter comes the fun of getting the bike back on the road  :)

Service done (all fluids, filters & valve clearances), new tyres & brake pads, new chain & sprockets... The list goes on.

Almost ready  :happydance:

Rolled it round to the back of the house. Kicked it, hit it and generally cursed or for leaving me standing in a pool of engine oil. Now have to wait for the postie to arrive with parts.

Just put this on, it works a treat too, a word of warning, don't buy it on e bay, as the Scottoiler website is cheaper than e bay, or Amazon, as I found out after I bought it on e bay.  :dl_smiley_banghead:

120 miles today - nice ride out until an unexpected storm in Hampshire earlier today.  My bad for not checking the radar. Rest of the day spent fixing the SV again!
If it has two wheels.. I'll ride it.

How many brave pills did you need to tackle the notorious cheese bolts holding the mudguard on?

I think you took an overdose. :bow-blue:

Yes, it was a bit like that.
Longer small headed bolts had orange thread-lock, shorter large headed bolts had blue thread-lock.
Worked 'em forward and back to clear threads.
Got mud guard out / back by taking off L/H caliper, as I don't have a centre stand.

The orange threadlock is rust...

You did better than me, I failed with the cheese bolts and my mudguard extender languishes in a cupboard still
