Right I've spent half an hour fannying about trying to post pictures and looking for instructions and have failed at both. - Last try!
Fitted a Givvy bash plate. I'm sure it has been shown before, but Hello, it's new to me.

It was abit of a fiddly pig to fit, with instructions that were at best basic, but I switched on logic mode and engaged triple jointed and extended fingers and after re tapping the main bolt which didn't fit the nut, managed to get it sorted.

Is you Mick Jagger? :)
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Leave it silver, paint the tank black, and look out for invisible paint for the beak.

Brockett, you know you have no sense of aesthetics. Yellow is the new black. Don't know about silver though! And - beaks are cool, pug noses are so yesterday.

Beaks are  pointy pointlessness.

Aesthetics eh?
All than running ,jumping and throwing things.
eh ? what?
Ah the beak .... an adornment without purpose.
Not ( of course) anything to do with stealing the look of a GS. ( to have copied anything else would only have introduced unacceptable unreliability).
The very essence of motorcycles is an absence of frivolity. They should be fat free and purposeful. I look back, wistfully, to the days of 6 volt electrics and kick starters when your arms were the only indicators and chains had to boiled in grease every month. Bah !

I believe 'twas Suzuki who introduced the beak and BMW that stole the idea. It is but a small strip of plastic, that in my humble opinion, gives the front of the V strom a much needed touch of style sadly lacking in the old model.

I believe 'twas Suzuki who introduced the beak

Suzuki spent a disproportionate amount of time making that very point at the 2014 DL1000 launch, I think they realised they had dropped a design bollock, maybe it looked better in the design drawings.

The beak looks less ridiculous on the current models, (but still ridiculous) the one they bolted to the 650 XT is just embarrassing.

Classy 2017 v boring 2014. Both excellent bikes, just that 2014 needs a face lift!

Fitted Oxford heated grips to the 650. What a faff. The adventure version grips are a little too long so took a sharpe knife to the ends. Should have measured first and gone for another version. Cutting the raised bits off the throttle sleeve and smoothing it was a pain.

Stuffed the excess wiring and connectors underneath the front of the tank - bit lazy; began removing the tank to run the wiring more neatly but lost my nerve.

Used a 22mm copper plumbing saddle to secure the controller mounting bracket to the bars until I can make something better.

Feeling more vibes through the Oxford grips so will have to try refitting the Grip Puppies.
