First long run on my Glee today. 230 miles out through Cambs taking in the B660, lunch at The Chequers PH at Stotford, Herts (highly recommended, lovely food and very reasonable) before coming back through Essex and Suffolk.
Very impressed with the bike, everything I need and was surprised when we got back to Thetford for coffee to see the paint had been scraped off the centre stand arm as I didn't realise I had been leaning it that far over!
My Bandit would have coped admirably but my back wouldn't have lasted the day. My new Glee being so much lighter didn't cause me too many problems and means my fears of my riding days being over are hopefully proved wrong.
Looking forward to a good riding year...????

I went for this set. http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/92822 Seems to work very nicely....

Oh yeah, the SMH5 - excellent value for money, I reckon  :) .

Personally, I am looking for something with more range, as I'm doing a five day tour in Germany with a buddy in May and expect that we will get separated quite a lot on roads that neither of us know.

Anyway, I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the Sena compared to the BT800  :) .

It is indeed a pain. The fireblade my mate has lent keeps trying to kill me too. 2 days in a row I've had the rear loose grip due to my over eager throttle exiting roundabouts on the Dearne Vally Parkway.

It's not going to get done before the weekend now they've said, so I think I'll just collect it and either try J&S at Doncaster or just do it myself

Not a good advert for SMC...

Watch out for the fireblade it'll make yours seem docile. Good luck sorting  :thumb:

Rode it, smugly, on an empty carriageway past a five mile static convoy "going" the other way.
A) If you're going to the Dales on a Bank Holiday, get up early.
2) The A65 is not the only road up there. Standing traffic all the way from the Gargrave hump back bridge to Skipton. Yuk!!

Took it for a nice hour blast early this morning to bed the new front tyre in and to get some rain x from halfords, then had breaky and rode back playing with the excessive amount of traffic on the way back. Was really nice  :sunny:

Had a ride out with Dragon Bikers forum, lots of UCR's and narrow B roads, broken tarmac was fun

great to see a fellow strom rider getting off road a bit, haven't come across many stroms of any variety on the lanes.

Fitted LED lights to work with my brake light.

Also fitted a 'YELLOW   ' bagster (just to see how it'd look)

Checked my valve clearances and found that the majority of them are on the tight side(exhaust only). But on checking the shims they are a 288 and these are not shown on the shim selection schedule, 0nly 280, 285 & 290?
Anyone else found this before?
