Fitted a cheapo gps tracker with a giffgaff sim. Seems to work very well after you have deciphered the instructions.

Finally got in the garage a fitted my new custom made top box plate. I posted back in the summer my choice of using a Dewalt toolbox for a top box, but I thought I best make a better effort of mounting the box and how it looks when not fitted.

Taking the bike to my folks tomorrow for storage while I relocate from Norfolk to Cumbria. Hopefully I will sell my home and buy a new home with the very important garage before summer as I can't wait to ride around the hills  :lala:

Best wishes for the new year to everyone  :icon_wink:

Been for an early new year's day run round the New Forest on the DL250, gave it a good run, was a blast, just like riding a moto crosser. Its light and fun, ideal for an old git with a knackered neck and back. Got off it and felt fine not like getting off a sports bike and not being able to move. Still,  happy new year to everyone and stay alive!!!

Removed the Givi engine bars and Ravtech guard for sale later. As you can see it has done its job.

Sorry for the late reply, been away. Mine was £9.99 but they seemened to have gone up to £12.39. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Realtime-Car-GPS-GSM-Tracker-Locator-Vehicle-Motorcycle-Tracking-Device/192558337073?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649  It works very well but I get charged for 2 texts when it responds to my my text commands but not a big problem. It uses about 30mA and so a trickle charger may be needed if the bike is used regularly.

Made a higher level Sat Nav mount for Garmin instead of the handlebar mount.

Excellent work Sir. :thumb:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Had a ride up to The Yonderman for a birthday breakfast.  :thumb:
Then called into Hartington on the way home for a bit of cheese.
When we got home I decided that it was time to wash the Yorkshire crap from NYE & todays Derbyshire crap off it. All nice & clean again but will need another coat of ACF50 now.

@ Fat Rat,  No the beaks staying. I an't wasting money removing it I'm a Yorkshire man! .
@ user 650, the picture was taken when it first arrived four years ago.
I still enjoy riding it and have no plans for a change.
