Took my Kirky Lights off for the MOT next week as one had failed.

Everything else looks OK, so hopefully another pass.

@uk vstrom650, you are a braver man than me. I wouldn't dare to commence a petrol search in Thorpe Hesley.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Rode into central london today as my meeting point has very secure parking behind huge gates. It was chaos. Took 90 mins to get back but I did leave at 3.30 on a friday. The place is now infested with chinese scooters delivering god knows what sliced animal remains on bread discs in boxes. A total free for all - like being in a top gear vietnam special. Seriously. :dl_hyperhysteria: :dl_hyperhysteria:  Then there's the sheer volume of traffic - its 'kin mental.

As for those *%&%&£*£* electric scooters -  ### ### ###

Took the scenic route home from work, rode the wheels off the Strom over the very bouncy Lauder Moor, got home to discover the headlight bulbs had gone 😯

Took it for an MOT for the 13th time and service for the 16th time. All is good :)

Hardly a surprise with the pathetic mileage I'm doing at the moment.

Saw it in the flesh for the first time and what a beauty it is !!

Ordered a new V-Strom 1000 from Wigan Suzuki last week and they delivered it to my house at 7am this morning. Absolutely stunning looking in Black... and it has a beak !!

Never thought I'd ever hear myself say 'beaked V-Strom and stunning' in the same sentence but there you go...... I must be mellowing in my old age. I can tell this bike will be a keeper, so glad to be back on a V-Twin again.

Triumph Tiger for sale if anyone wants it.

First ride on my new bike this afternoon. 65 miles around the Scottish Borders. Can't get over how much more powerful this 1000 is compared to my previous 650's.... reckon I'm going to really enjoy this bike once it's run in  :auto-dirtbike:

New Conti RoadAttack2's on as the old rear tyre had been plugged and was starting to leak a bit. Good grip from the off and have performed pretty well in the wet so far.
Decided to treat the bike as well and replaced the wheel bearings all round, mainly because it's 8 years old and I suspected they'd never been changed (I've owned it for <1 year). I was right - the old bearings were corroded and the inner face of one had split, exposing the bearings, so it was only a matter of time before it collapsed! Very smooth ride now

Not a problem its held mine on with no bolts and I go off road everytime I go out as I use the farm track at the back of my house to join the main road just outside the village
