Delkevic exhaust arrived in post. Swapped the OEM end can for a lightweight Delkevic carbon - removed baffle. Can't believe how heavy that stock silencer is. Can't install the rest yet - need parts.  The hilltop software is on the bike so it should self adjust after a few rides. Sounds great baffle out - not too loud a deep thump thump.....
If it has two wheels.. I'll ride it.

Nice little run up to the David Silver Museum.

Good couple of hours browsing the older bikes and coffee was free from the machine on site.

Although full of Honda bikes as you would imagine, a member of their staff taking a photo of my DL1000 in the car park gave me a warm glow.

Nice Kawasaki KH750 for sale in the showroom, if anyone has a spare £12,900  :icon_exclaim:

Great ride out in The Peak District today. Long way round to The Yonderman for a (late) breakfast, then the long way back to Tagg Lane Dairy for ice cream.
We did call in to Flash Bar Stores & Cafe to give it a second chance...........they won't get a third!  :GRR:

Finally fitted my GPS, the bracket looked smaller on the screen but at least it will never break

Ordered a Delkevic SL10 silencer kit as I can't bear the sight of that stock can anymore! Can't wait to fit it and fire her up.

@graingerblaze, more orange bling.

What is not to like?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

After the spill a month back, decided to replace the right side Givi crashbar as it was bent (it did its job)- took me longer to find my tools than to change the bar itself. All good again :-)
In my defence, she did leave me unsupervised.

Just fitted some Heed crash bars. Impressed with them and fairly easy to install. Centre stand fitted, again only pair of springs. CNC Sidestand enlargement plate, CNC Black riser mirror extenders and a Motech Exhaust Valve Guard.
Still have spots and Givi rear hugger to fit though. A lot cheaper than buying with bike and generally all easy fits.

Tonybro,  just check your side stand enlarger plate isn't interfering with the centre stand. Most do, some don't.

Nothing. Was pissing down and the strom is lovely and clean so took the SV to work. Love both bikes, but I REALLY wish I could move the torque peak on me strom to say 6K as opposed to 4K. I rarely ride below 4K anyhow.
If it has two wheels.. I'll ride it.

Post winter treatment.
Washing, polishing, lubeing levers and links wth oil, and some rubbers, seals and dust covers with sillicone oil, intense chain cleaning and lubeing, cobbra oiler refilling with SAE90, and fit a side stand plate.

Some pics.

I made a GPS bracket out of a fire door handle from Travis Perkins. Cost about £13 and some old rattle can paint I had left over :)

Just had it MOT'd, passed of course. It's a 2007 650, now got 43,000 miles on it, of which I've done 22,000 in the last 3 1/2 years.

Sidbig, do you have a link to the GPS mount? I've just bought a TomTom 550 and would prefer not to mount it on the handlebars. Thanks.

Put it all back together and went for a little ride till it cut out on me :dl_smiley_banghead: got back home with a little help, charged the battery up started OK but the voltage drops when revved up. :dl_hyperhysteria: :bawl: need to get it sorted as it will soon be the May bank holiday weekend.

Is it the dilithium crystals again?
