 Confession time!
New battery last week, since then the bike would fire up, sometimes, then cut out dead after a few seconds or so,no set time.
Today I found I had re fitted the tilt switch upside down on its Mounting pegs!!!
Argh!
But a nice run out for lunch.

Just fitted these, they're brilliant, and at £14.95 think that that's a bargain

Took it to work and back, tried out the bar muffs wiht the heated grips hands were nice and toasty.  :thumb: All so tried the home made heated jacket {body warmer} and the two heating pads from a heated car seat, I had to stop om the way to work to turn it down to the low setting.

:lala: welcome to the VStrom Baader Meinhof cell. I haven't worn mine this winter yet, come to think of it I haven't added the plug to the Thunderbastard yet...

I don't know if you're a swearing type person Graham, but I still remember my first "f*ckin' hell, this is brilliant" outburst. To be a fully accredited member we still need to see pictures. :thumb:

Picked mine up today.  Rode it 35 miles home, changed the oil and filter and started removing the fairing.  Cleaned most of the front and put it back together, may do the rear tomorrow, weather permitting.

I'm quite pleased with it.

Cleaned and washed the V-strom and the SV... Noticed one or two tiny pits on a couple of engine bolts despite the ACF.

Wondering if the engine bolt kits for the SV/Vstrom (17/18) are the same? If so may put a titanium set on the V-strom??

The cases look very similar.
If it has two wheels.. I'll ride it.

Graham, that vest is perfect for beating the Christmas shopping crowds. Stroll through your favourite shopping centre holding the plug upright in your fist, with your thumb hovering over the spring end terminal. You'll have the place to yourself in no time.
