  Ouch!
Hope it's all good to go, but be gentle on the ankle.

Going over the bike in preparation for a long trip. Changed the fork oil and serviced the brake calipers. One leg had what looked like ATF and the other probably the original oil long past its use by. I can only assume the previous owner had a seal replaced on one side only. Anyway, new 10w Penrite synthetic fork oil in now with 140mm air gap. Front feels noticeably firmer now.
Also had the battery replaced and have an Eastern Beaver headlight relay kit to install.
Rear tyre and oil/filter change closer to departure.
cheers, Mike

The V-Strom and I went for a run around Mid Wales yesterday ...  we found some water at the Elan Valley, although there was much less (Garreg Ddu reservoir) than I'd expected!

Just back from a jaunt around the Lakes and N. Yorks on the mighty V Strom.

Left my house on Tyneside yesterday morning and rode through Stanhope then up to Alston, over to Penrith then Caldbeck and Cockermouth. From there it was Buttermere and Honister, Keswick and across to Dockray near Ullswater, then up the Kirkstone Pass, down again to Ambleside and along to Windermere for a cuppa. Then it was through Kendal and down to Burton in Kendal for beer, food and a nights kip in a pub.

This morning, after a decent breakfast, rode to Kirby Lonsdale, Ingleton and across to Hawes for coffee then Kirby Stephen, Brough, Middleton in Teesdale, Stanhope and home via Wolsingham and Lanchester.

330 odd miles and a jolly good time was had by all.

Just one pic of my mates at Honister slate quarry and some cam footage which is unfortunately quite blurry due to the raindrops on the camera lens.

A short trip down to the middle of Wiltshire, which makes a change from my usual run up into the Cotswolds.

I've been out three weekends running. Can't believe it ! Maybe this years mileage will be just terrible and not dire.

The nice people at Delkevic sent me a full system with their new Titanium silencer to review for the Glee. I will do a full write up in the Exhausts section.

The video doesn't really translate the wonderful throaty sound that this exhaust creates. It really is a transformation, from sewing machine to V-Twin Motorbike  :thumb:

Interim oil and filter change at 18750 for my 2015 Glee. Changed because on dealer recommendation I still use semi-synthetic oil so gets done between each proper service.

Got an MoT  :) with advisories on scored rear disc and worn chain. Had to replace front left disc first though - the old one was so warped you could see it wobble. I hit the bike budget and replaced both with EBC XC contours and pads from Demon Tweeks.

Tidied up the gadget bar bracket as a lot more shows with the standard screen fitted. (The GIVI Airflow hides most of it up)

I've covered the visible side with carbon look sticky stuff:

So how's it going so far then?

Changed the engine oil and filter yet again. Oil had done 3k and was nothing fancy just a semi syn and filter 6k. Oil was very clean. Think it's time I stretched this to 4k but old habits die hard.

Check over for an MOT later this week and a ride out once the rain stopped. Pity the wind kept going though.

Decided to simplify my custom fog light brackets as I never needed the third axis of adjustment in the end. These are much shorter and I think look better in black (blue before). Took all evening but time flies when you're having fun  :)

Treated it to some new A40's, only got 6,500 on the original rear Trailwing, the front would have lasted longer but at £160 a pair fitted to loose wheels, too good to turn down.  :thumb:
