Short ride up into the Cotswolds. My first ride anywhere since June  :groan:

I seem to have an oil leak from my PD Oiler (very slow drips on the garage floor over time). So I cleaned the front sprocket out, cleaned everything around there and cleaned the chain off so I can see for sure where it is coming from.

Yesterday I traded in my 2013 650 for a new 1000 using the Suzuki 0% deal

Last night I put it away in the garage then went back to have a final look

So far done I’ve done 256 miles it handles great the engine pulls like a train and it’s very comfortable for big person

It is fantastic and I haven’t stopped smiling

It's resting today but I did 635kms on it on Saturday getting in five of the Irish Photo Rally photos in Northern Ireland. Good dry day and plenty of enthusiastic riding with two mates. One on another Strom like mine and the other on an RT.

Another oil change... getting these down to a fine art now as I have to do them every 2 months with the mileage I'm covering. Warmed the bike up, drained oil, new oil filter fitted, refilled and bike ready to go in less than 15 minutes.

I wish my car was as easy to maintain as these bikes, they really are reliable work horses

If anyone is ever in the lake district, this place is worth a visit. The cars are great but they have loads of lovely bikes, plus the legendary Bluebird record breaking car and boat  :)

New front brake pads, EBC HH, feels better and the annoying squeak has gone, probably because there was the thinnest smear of material left on the old ones........

..up early and adjusted and lubed the chain at 4650 mi. (2nd time OEM chain has need a tweak). Fiddled with front end suspension settings - was a bit soft for me on stock. Sorted out an Fi code that appeared on the SV yesterday. MAP sensor seems to have gone haywire.

Changed the oil & filter and fitted a cable to the battery so the missus can plug her heated gloves in. All set for Winter now  :thumb:

I got out for the second weekend running - Unheard of.

No more oil leaked from the PD Oiler, so still not sure where the problem is.

Were you working on the bike with the ignition on for any length of time? I did, once, and dripped on the boss's new Indian stone patio.

No, it was leaking over a few weeks when parked up. I think there's a split in the tubing somewhere but as I fitted most of it behind panels it is going to take some finding.

Took the wheels off to change the tyres, thought that I got about 13k miles out of the Anakee 2s . Had a look at the service history for when I put the Anakee 2s on 4,107 miles 19,010 miles on the bike now so that's 14,903 miles on the Anakee 2s.  :lala: :thumb:

Lots of little piece polishing on bits of my glee I don't usually touch like handlebar spacers at the end of the grips, polished out minor marks/scratches on the instrument 'glass' and lots of screws and hex. head bolts ..........  :sunny:

Oh, and listened to Rooty, Cooky and Jimmy on the radio.........  :lala:
So how's it going so far then?
