Fitted some new Aprilia Tuono mirrors, purely for cosmetic reasons  :)

Liking those. Wonder if they will fit the 2016 vee? Be nice to get rid of the tractor ones that are on there at the mo.

Cleaned my chain, and chain guard and sprocket cover. Where does all that muck come from, I wonder? Scraped loads out before attacking it with the degreaser. Then a quick session with the Swarfega, and now enjoying a cuppa. All in all, even more fun than "creosoting" the shed this morning

I picked my bike up on Sat and after riding to Wales and back (Got to get that 600 out the way) I've fitted.

Rear hugger (why these aren't fitted as standard is beyond me)
Givi 46 ltr Top box (trying to avoid panniers)
Lowered the footpegs (huge improvement as I'm 6ft2)
Delkevic end can (massive difference in weight and sound)
Ram mount for my phone (I will not pay for stand alone sat navs)
screen extender ( took off my last bike and seems to do the job quite nicely)

Too bloody hot though
Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do or die.

Fitted my new TomTom Sat Nav and wired it to the fuse box under the seat. It was a fun job.... ????

Fitted new Metzeler Roadtec 01 rear tyre (the PR4 did 16,400km to just short of the wear bars) and while the wheel was out to change the tyre I removed the swing arm to grease all the associated bearings then fitted a new chain and sprockets on reassembly. The Superlinks chain had done 63,200km and was near the wear limit.
I hate refitting the exhaust system on the 650 and wish they had put a joint where the muffler can meets the pipe.
