Took bike for MOT,and looked at new DL250 whilst there.The salesman said they haven’t sold one yet,he thinks the bike is woefully underpowered compared with the competition.Saw a new Aprilia “trail”  type small bike delivered in a box.I see they are made in China now.Bike passed,drove home and stripped it down to air cleaner,then removed the air box to access all of the  multiplugs under the tank,pleasantly surprised there was no sign of any water ingress or corrosion in any of them.ACF50 greased all of the plugs including the one inside the LH fairing(Thanks Mick).Put it all back together and it runs.Just needs a service and 2 new tyres and we are good to go.
  BTW the front end of the air box is a right bit**,glad that doesn’t have to come off too often.

@Nickb65
Good result, White is the fastest Vstrom colour to have  :thumb:

Not my Vstrom but a demo one. The service was due on the Suzuki scooter so off to the dealer it went, service nearly done and mechanic noticed the pads were getting low and needed replacement, here begins the problems. Caliper pin well and truly seized solid, broke allen key off trying to get it out to change the pads, need to soak it so here have a ride on the new Vstrom 250, here's a fiver to get some petrol while we try a warranty claim. After a good hour and a half bimble, claim accepted BUT can't get a caliper until Tuesday. This is my work bike so need it for the next week, no problem we can borrow a caliper of a new one and replace it when yours arrives, arhhhhh there different on the new linked brake one's, bugger. No problem have one of our demo scooters until it arrives with our compliments, a happy badger, sorted.  :grin:

I reckon the whole dash is made up of gauges,fuel,temp,pressure etc.Not instruments because they are usually played,not clocks because they usually indicate the time ??

Looks like a new section is required "Pedant's Corner".

It can be had to gauge, but be careful, some of us clocking on a bit, and you’re going to be instrumental in sending TLP’s blood pressure off the clock.

I bet the rider feels a bit of a plank on that...though it is a paletable enough conversion... :groan:

I put yet another rear tyre on the V-Strom. Still a bit of life on the front.
