May not have been on its side, mine has a big scrape on the side where I misjudged backing into the garage and it scrapped along the wall.

Hello

Today, cobbled together a bit of 3mm mild steel plate for the bottom of the side stand. Run out of 5mm countersunk screws so waiting for them to be delivered.
Still, it gives me time to paint the thing. Now where did I put that warm day?

that also could be a possibility. Looks a bit too worn for a wall brush though. Its the plastic surround not the box itself really so I'm not too bothered. And hell, it was alot cheaper than normal, and its a box to hold my stuff. Really pleased with it. Taken of a year to buy one. I set my ebay bidding to a lvl and never go over it for anything. Cost me £80 and came with a gsx 1400  givi mounting bracket and monokey plate. (the round ish one that won't fit the strom) Il pop that back on ebay and hopefully sell it
I'm sane, honestly. . . I got a certificate to prove it!

I took my wee for a proper ride after putting the fork brace on, changing the oil suspensions and dropping the forks a little bit. I also upgraded front brakes ( had loads of issues with them)
Bike's handling is great now. I think it is the fork brace. At higher speed it is more stable and front wheel doesn't feel light anymore. It also less affected by the sidewind but it might be my imagination. Bike definitely doesn't dive as much under braking. My old oil was really bad. Finally I really like my new brakes. After so many issues I have finally managed to sort everything out and now they are really sharp with nice feel. I am really happy and it was all worth three days in the garage.

Fitted my new mirrors yesterday and took her for a spin.  I did think the standard mirrors gave good vision so was a bit wary coz the aprilla ones are smaller....

Anyway, They look stunning compared to the wagon mirrors and I can confirm they are fine and give just as good a view and due to the shape I'm sure will cut down buffeting on m/ways.

Got to think of something else to spend money on now....

Took my wee2 in to Steve Jordans for the brake switch recall, only took them 30-40 mins. Whilst I was there I got them to apply Ride-On tyre sealant to my new PR3 Trails (the stuff Grey Wolf recommended earlier this year). Its easier at the dealers - they have an airline to reinflate your tyres.

Keep us updated how you get on with the sealant.  I almost bought some but the website had so little detail on the volume I needed that I stuck with Puncturesafe.

The instructions that arrived with Ride-On are very comprehensive, including what they refer to as a "Dosage Table" for just about every bike & scooter tyre size. The sealant comes in 2 x 8oz  calibrated containers, and requirements for the wee are 6oz for the front, and 8oz for the rear.
They warn that some vibration may be experienced when first installed, and recommend 30mph for the first few miles while the sealant is distributed inside the tyres.  I stayed at 30-35 for 2-3 miles and didn't feel anything, so after that rode normally.

Fitted the centre stand (well actually the garage did it  :icon-redface: )

They only charged me 1/2 hour labour to do it, and they did the brake switch recall thing as well  :)

....and they lent me the GSR 750 as a courtesy bike  :)

Small bike and big motor  - It would be great for you lot who live in a proper sized country, easy in town and B roads would be a blast. Smooth engine but thought the gear changes were not as smooth as my new Wee, but no problem, just thought my Wee changed gear smoother.

Being a courtesy bike it gets ridden by all sorts and whoever had it before me got the chicken strips down to a respectable level  - myself I want to keep my driving licence !

It feels and looks modern - seems easy to manage and handle -  and overall I thought it was great really enjoyed it !!

edit: edited the image a bit

Finished the service (new brake fluid) - where does all that froth come from!

And.... fitted a pair of 1300 Lumen (each) Rigid Dually spot lights....took them off later as they foul the mudguard...  DON'T FIT THESE WITHOUT A LIGHT BAR.  SMALLER FLATTER LIGHTS MIGHT BE OK.

Lamps removed  as checks proved the lamps to foul the mudguards..... :angry-tappingfoot:
