I passed but didn't get the gold I was striving for. I will be doing the test again in the spring.

Autumn-cleaned 3 bikes today!  Applied ACF50, 1st time I've used it, and seems to have gone well.  My Strom did get a few hints of rust on some bolts cos of riding through last winter with the salted roads.  Only spent 4 hours bike cleaning yesterday!   :sunny: :stirpot:

Cleaned it for tomorrows ride round the M60, found a nail in the back tyre so took it for another puncture repair.

Gave my 650 a damned good clean, and applied acf50 where I could, right up until 5 minutes in the spray bottle supplied basically fell apart (Top collar broke), so applied the rest with a rag.  Off to purchase an olive oil sprayer tomorrow to finish the job (I can't justify a compressor).  Diddnt get time for the heated grips, that's looking like tomorrow evenings job round the old mans garage!

Sunday Boredom sent me to my man cave so I made a dual fitment monokey and monolock top box plate that can be changed in minutes in order to fit my OEM 37 litre box for everyday use and my 58 litre givi outback box for more space or touring.

I've usually used a paint brush, Hoggins. The spray bottle never made a fine mist and was more like a water gun.

Parked bike outside last night, found it this morning with steering lock broken, moved 2-3 feet forward and leaning against my car. Brake lock stopped them bastards, and cutting disc/lock would alarm too many people.
No other damage than this :

On the hunt for new yoke :(, heard some scooters on car park last night, assumed it's fast food delivery man.

Took it, and my newly acquired spare seat, to a little shed next to Huddersfield Town's stadium for Tony Archer to work his magic.

I hate mondays. At least it was still there with no unrepairable damage. Not looking forward to swapping ignition barrels over. If I find new yoke, all ebay scrapers sold out.

:text-goodpost: just double checked and ignition barrel is mounted using 2x "security" torx bolts...easy peasy, expected snap-off bolts.

Grrr.. Fuggin b@rst@rds.  :violence-smack:
don't know how far away you are from the bike but as I've mentioned on here before, baby monitors are a great alarm system. Mine was wired up in my garage, but a set of rechargeable batteries make them eminently portable & useable in all kinds of situations, like when traveling. The range can be quite good.
Anyone on here invested in a tracker.?
They seem pretty cheap these days, it's 'after the horse has bolted obviously', but they seem effective.
Also, (though no use in this case) I once had a switch which bypassed the button to activate the horn, never needed it, but often 'tested it' when I'd forgotten and turned the key without resetting first.
Loud and confusing to the usual half-witted dirtbag.

Scooted thieves don't try to start the bike, they will roll it and push using scoot, most likely stolen scoot. I park 2 meters from my (blind) bedroom wall or right other side of my living room wall in the shed/lean to. Motion sensor with buzzer in my flat will go in soon, cameras going up tomorrow. Bike parked up and chained up in the shed, ALWAYS from now on.
Tracker is useless, unless it's with long/middle wave transmitter that can be located even if bike sits in freight container without GPS/GSM signal and that's not cheap.

I had one of those outside lights with remote buzzer, highly recommended.
Caught a lad in my garden due to it sounding the alarm, he was trying to pinch a pushbike, but got a hell of a shock as I ran out the side door while my lad came out the patio..  :thumb:

Gave my Glee a thorough clean as had an excellent ride yesterday, cold but sunny, but stayed out too long and the forecast ‘chance of occasional showers’ became heavy rain and covered my bike in the newly laid salt the Council had kindly spread the night before for the first time this year.
Once clean doused her in FS365 as quite a few rides planned in the near future.
Looking forward to cherry picking the nicer days to ride over Winter and so happy retirement means no more -4* commutes at 0530hrs!
