Classy 2017 v boring 2014. Both excellent bikes, just that 2014 needs a face lift!

Each to his own I suppose  :)

Managed to fail the wee's MOT on .. front tyre (fair cop) and rear indicators interfering with the operation of the tail-light. They were going flash on/dim tail, flash off tail brightens.
So now you're think 'earth fault', but wait ..
I got some Shad panniers a few years ago. They came with outboard indicators, and the bulbs within are 12V 23W 'stubbies', not the 'full size' you get in normal Suzuki indicators. Therefore the lights, all on the same earth circuit, are out of balance.
Now it has sailed through previous MOTs before, so it was just this one fussy lot in York who took exception. I looked high and low for either
a) 12V 21W stubby bulbs -or- 12V 23/5W tail lights ...... and guess what, they do not seem to exist on the planet.
So I had some old 21W indicators I'd had for years, ripped off the Shad-supplied ones and fitted them. There is still a very mild dimming with the hazards on - but it passed.
(However, they didn't catch my VERY notchy head bearings which I haven't got round to replacing yet...)

The Shads have been great panniers & would recommend them - annoying about the housing not being able to take a full size indicator bulb though.
There's a couple of morals in this story, but I'll let you work them out for yourselves.

Sorry folks????
Smashing ride from Segovia past Avila and down N 502 one of favourites. Had planned to stay over in Córdoba but made such good progress carried onto Antequera above Malaga.
Meeting up with Mrs Trotts who flys in tomorrow I have it sorted a????

On route on one mountain section that is West of Madrid met a Belgium ???????? bloke with his Mrs on a 650 glee fokkowed by a Spanish chap on his Suzuki intruder.  So a Brit a Belgium and a Spaniard all top of a mountain at around 1500 meters. It was good

Took my Wee on a 250 mile round trip to watch Donny Rovers play the Arsenal last night.  The stewards wouldn't let me take it in so it had to listen to the radio outside.  Still, enjoyed a rare jousting with north London traffic.

@bosnjo, I'd reject that new 'bike, it's showing 26 degrees at the the end of September.... lol

Enjoy. :thumb:

Yes, I was thinking the same but then I remembered we were in dealers garage that was in shade. So when I went out to ride it home it showed 33 degrees so it was working well.

Realised I'm going soft in my old age (too long living down south in W. Yorkshire) as not only did I wear my heated jacket, but I also turned the heated grips on...  only travelled an hour to Sheffield :icon_no:

I'll be putting the central heating on next  :shy:

Don't beat yourself up, it was 3 degrees c yesterday morning. I should know I had to turn my seat heater on to the low setting for my 4 minute commute in my Volvo.

MOT time with a mere 379 miles more than the last one  and 10 of them were the travel to and from the MOT  :shy:

Had the usual discussion with the other owners waiting for their bikes:-

Rider 1 - Is that the 650 or the 1000
     Me - That's the 650

Rider 2 - I would need a Stepladder to get on that
Me - Yep, its a tall bike anyway but I added a higher seat

Rider 1 - Is this its first MOT?
Me - No, it's its eleventh
Rider 1 - Oh 54 Plate not 64. Wow, it looks like new

I guess at 379 miles a year it will look new for a long time too  :bawl:

Errr - I didn't mention York Suzuki. They had nothing to do with it  :)
Just having some MOT irritation. Fireblade failed on a front wheel bearing on Thursday so had to fit new ones to that sucker yesterday. No York Suzuki involved there either :-)

That's very very nice, but not the super all rounder, that the Vstrom is. Things like that are sent to tempt us into doing silly things :icon_drool5:

Just had my last ride in to work and was pulled out on and nearly driven into the side of by the 2 drivers who couldn't wait to enter the roundabout I'd not finished exiting. Bloody drivers, usually I see it coming, they'd stopped at the line and then at the last second one went, so the driver at the side of them went too.
