I've seen these when looking for things to buy for my Strom. Be interested to see what you think.

Loads of people seem to highly rate them but you never know for sure until you try it I guess

I fitted one and I think it has made a huge difference.
But maybe that's it
I THINK it has made a difference.
So I too look forward to your report.

Just be careful tightening it. I've had one when I had Glee. It made huge difference in stability but initially I overtighten it and suspension almost didn't work. The correct way is to tight hard inner bolts and outer bolt tight by hand and then just 1/4 of turn with Allen key. Then it works properly.

Fitted the Windscreen  GPS/Mobile mounting bracket from Cosmo-Moto that arrived today. Well designed and finished piece of kit, which makes viewing the Satnav screen much easier. Simple two bolt fitting and was installed in next to no time. Aside from the Satnav I've attached my GoPro Session camera and there's still room for something else so will probably invest in a USB charger socket.

Added the Aprilia style eBay mirrors. Had to move the heated grip controller to get at them with an adjustable spanner.

Won't actually get a chance to test them out until next week

Four hours cleaning my Glee after almost 2000 miles around a very wet Scotland last week.
Halfords snow foam is crap compared to the eBay stuff and when it didn't touch the grime  ended up going over the whole bike with normal bike shampoo and hot water on soaked microfibre cloths before washing it normally with sponge and brushes.
Surprised to see that the paint on the centre stand brace has been blasted off by the road spray leaving happily rusting steel underneath!
Still got the chain to clean and adjust and change the oil and filter but that's for another day.

Fitted a Krieger tailbag, well the securing straps that had to be threaded around the framework beneath the seat. Planning a trip around as much as possible of the Wild Atlantic Way at the end of the month so need the storage space.

Also some Barkbusters.

Removed the Barkbusters fitted yesterday. They made the handlebars buzz terribly. Was out for a trip to Aberystwyth but had to stop in Llanuwchllyn, take 'em off and refit original bar end weights (took tools and weights in case of any problems).

Refitted them once home but cut up an old cycle innertube and used to pack between bar clamps and the bits that go into the end of handlebars. Might absorb some vibrations. If not may have to try heavier bar end weights (the ones that come with the Barkbusters are lighter that the originals).

Brilliant motorbikin' weather today.  :sunny:

:fix: fitted the new exhaust I bought from piggy. The old one was a bit of a pig to get off crawling around on the floor. (I need a ramp) but the new one went on very easy as it comes in sections.
Took it for a run, it sounds lovely, makes the wee sound fat more meaty. It also seemed to pull better being 2 up I think. Although it could just be a mind thing.

Also fitted the fork brace Wednesday and to everyone asking I think it does make a difference. Front feels stiffer especially going down our bumpy lane it feels more solid which is a little uncomfy haha. On road and cornering I think it's better but not like a night and day differance. Not sure what to think need a bit more riding I think.

Cheers all

New oil and filter to go with last week's new chain, sprockets & back tyre. Set for the Ardeche & Tarn now.
.....Refilled the "on test" Tutoro oiler reservoir which had emptied after 150 miles. Some numpty left it on "prime" and only spotted this at Helmsley. Tomorrow I shall be washing rear tyre, swinging arm etc..

Wales and back, a quick 600 miles, time for a chain and sprockets looms at 15 thousand, though they still look OK.

I done that on Sunday due to a poor overtaking decision.

Good to say it worked well!

over the last week I've fitted a new centre stand, made and fitted a bracket for the auxiliary lights, took the madstad bracket off to try the givi air flow screen with the stock bracket and fitted bar risers. Went out to test it out after 15 minutes the buffering was too much so took off the mirrors and had a go lick that, that was a bit better, so back home to put on the madstad and all's well.  :thumb:

Installed Givi engine bars and sump pan.

Sump pan isn't as strong as some others but bike won't be doing any serious off road stuff just requires protection for filter from rogue stones and debris.

Went for a short ride after fitting, didn't notice any extra vibes.

Stripped rear brake caliper, no idea why it was wearing outside pad only(80%more than inside).
put new bits anyway, new pads and full flush.
Will keep an eye on it, if it starts wearing excessively uneven again I'll upgrade to 2 pot caliper.
