Spent a few minutes harmonising the super cheapo additional lighting. As those who know, know they have three modes that are called for sequentially each time they are switched on.
What I didn't know when I fitted them and rode off for the Alright My Handsome tour" was that they were out of sync. This resulted in  at first switch on the right side flashing the left not. 2nd switch on gave both on although one was on main and the other on dip, and 3rd switch on right side on and left flashing. So then no wonder more than usual canners made way for me  in busy traffic. I was aware of the flashing mode but as I only checked the left side I did not realise the right side was flashing.
So here's question for those with experience with these lights. I can see the chip that needs surgery but does it matter what mode it is in when the part is extracted or does that chip only affect the flasher circuit.

Sorry to hear that Jeff in Wales, but at least you're not injured.

Didn't ride it in these winds!

Fitted some bobbins / cotton reels. Got them from SportsBikeShop. The supplied M8 cap head bolts wouldn't screw into the swing arm mountings, seems to be different thread pitch. Found a couple of spare bolts with correct pitch.

No problem lifting bike up on stand, was a bit apprehensive given it's weight.

Gave it a rinse down after that - got a bit mucky yesterday during the downpours.

Doesn't  matter what mode it's in. Once  you  take the chip out they stay in full mode

Took the wee to Orwell's in Ipswich and had them fit Suzuki Sprockets set and chain, Bridgestone A40 rear tyre. In and out in just over an hour. Also bought Oil & filter & plug washer for something to fiddle with next week.

Did the bikes yearly oil and filter, removed tank and blew out the k&n, acf-50 while the tank was off. Also put another coat of black paint on the bash plate whilst it was off to make it look more presentable.  :fix:

Fitted new lowering rear suspension links.

Felt a little unsteady unless on flat surfaces and struggled to push the bike backwards whilst seated.

Unnecessary in the event but taking no chances

Lifted / supported rear wheel to jiggle bolts back in

Feels much better now, can push it around whilst seated with comparative ease (in the garage anyway)

Messed up a bit lowering the front. Read advice on forums not to slacken the pinch bolts too much, just a little and then push down on front. But I couldn't get stantions to move despite heaving on the front. Ultimately slackened the bolts a little too much and then stantions went right up to bars.

Had to take weight of front then use wood / hammer to tap forks to new correct height. Lust instructions with rear links suggested only lowering front to max two-thirds of rear. Set them at 15mm.

All done.

No need to trim side stand.

Will do test ride tomorrow.

Trust me, I'm not that tidy normally. Saw other people getting grief for untidy wiring and thought better of it ;-)

Finished reassembling the bike following the TPS adjustment. Treated it to new brake fluid, cleaned it and reapplied ACF50. Off to Sheffield tomorow so looking forward to seeing if the TPS adjustment has made any difference and to see if the brakes work have firmed up...

Removed front sprocket cover and cleaned out. I've had the bike just over a year, but haven't got a clue when that was last cleaned out. Interesting to say the least, it was packed solid. Then decided to change clutch fluid. Dealer serviced when I bought the bike allegedly, all I can say is I've never seen brake fluid the colour of coffee before. If this was checked before I got it all I can say is the mechanic must be colour blind. I feel a replacement of brake hoses and fluid coming on and a brake service might be prudent.

Put my second hand brand new fork brace on. Will take it for a spin after work tomorrow see if it was £23 worth spending. :D
